Typical griefer mindset, just have to try to ruin things for everyone.

Have had this happen half a dozen times already this morning. I get about 15 minutes of play before it crashes.

I've tried my laptop, which is what was freezing earlier, as well as my desktop with the new patch and neither froze. Sadly, I'm still getting the Host Connection Timeout error on both, but no freezing or lockups like before. Progress I suppose?

Not at all, all I have been doing is reporting bugs as well. Maybe back up a step? You're getting awful sensitive over nothing.

Ahh... I misread the tweet then. I was under the impression that the servers were up while they were tinkering around inside. No patience issue on my part. I'm laughing at everyone that is having a coronary over it not being perfect.

Host Pending Connection Timeout with 5.0 as well.

Finally got in on a different computer with twice as much RAM, so I think at least part of the issue is memory related. Laptop that kept freezing has 6Gb (which I realize is small, but still above spec), whereas desktop has 16Gb. However, once in the rubber-banding makes it virtually unplayable. Little steps I suppose. Hopefully the incoming maintenance will identify and resolve more issues.

Has there been any dev communication on this so far today?

Just tried new patch, computer still locks up after a few minutes of waiting.
