I made it to the game world, although I'm getting another error after 10-15 minutes of gameplay: While I am here, I'd like to thank the devs for great support and patches so far - you are doing awesome job guys! Merry christmas!

It doesn't freeze after the latest patch \o/ It still takes very long to load all assets but hey, I'm in game now (not without problems of course)!

The other PC I tested has GTX1080 and 16GB RAM, and it still freezes. It seems that the game doesn't use GPU at all. Game is stored on SSD on both devices.

I doubt it. I took a nap and the game was still freezing after 2 hours.

5.3 and still freezing, but this time is much worse - I had to force-shutdown my PC. I've been trying to fix this for 24 hours, even tried on fresh windows install on another machine with 16 GB RAM... without results. It's driving me insane...

It freezes during loading "PrimalGameData_BP". Tried updating my drivers, disabling AV, disabling paging file - still won't launch. I'm going to test it on fresh win10 install. (I'm posing replies since I can't even edit my own posts... sigh)

Updating to 4.0 didn't resolve the issue.

I noticed that Atlas is using 100% CPU, 100% RAM and 100% disk but only 3% GPU, even if I set it to use my nVidia GPU. My PC fulfills all hardware requirements: 8Gb RAM, GTX 960M, i7-6700HQ. The game freezes even on minimal graphical settings. Help.

I'm experiencing the same issue after clicking "join".

Atlas freezes my whole OS when I click 'Connect'. No matter which server - official or private. I'm barely able to launch taskmanager and kill it. No crash logs though. Any ideas what might cause this issue?

Same situation on European servers (both PvP and PvE).

Actually, it's not ARK. It's YARK. You can see this name in crash logs.
