  1. Gathering rates are somewhat high think what was considered the previous 2x rate was a good balance for players before anarchy as a normal value come end march.

One major issue with only home servers has made maps Golden Age only making doing them difficult.

Believe keeping freeports as home servers as well as lawless works and only allowing a region to allow setting home server if you have settlement in that grid.

Only other suggestions are increasing ship structure placement on decks for people who are more RP there were a few times I was prevented from placing cannons because I got too crazy with railings and décor lighting, allow large cannons in large cannon ports, but limit structure placement over the side of boats (turtling) and the Hight above a deck a cannon can be placed to prevent unrealistic shotgun builds; as long as a cannon can be equal with the siding of a deck say half-full wall height is fine 4-5 tiers of 40+ cannons all facing the side/back, or front of the boat is crazy.

increase ship panel HP ship fights seem to go quite quickly and don't really get to experience a real dog fight.

Create a separate forge, loom, and tannery model for on ships they make it quite difficult to move around a ship to repair.

  2. As a player who has been playing MMO's since Ever Quest  as wells as been part of the Sony Online Entertainments Volunteer GM program, with the games current state as "Alpha"; I believe many players may feel better with incremental content changes rather than large expansion code files.

At current state there are still many major bugs and game balances that have been discussed on both the developer side as well as by the player base. With any large code injection comes large unintended bugs or unintended changes to core game mechanics. Having experienced the issues that Bethesda had with their attempt with Elder Scrolls Online and pushing out expansions every 3 months caused a build up of bugs and performance issues making many aspects of the game unplayable for months.

As a supporter of your games current state and future plans I feel it would be in the best interest to partition the content release that was originally planned for Feb and currently estimated release in March in to separate smaller content releases. Though I understand the need to add more content to prevent boredom from players you also don't want to make too drastic a change that has the possibility of adding large chunks of unstable code or content that has the ability of being game breaking. The other benefit to this release scheduling will allow your Devs to put more time into projects that are not yet ready or can put more effort into future content while code that is ready to be implemented can be given to players and allow future content to be adjusted with its effect on play.

I propose that the new content such as the claim tweaks, offline raiding, animal tweaks, bounty system, merchant/player trade system, and underwater exploration be their own releases instead of one big March patch.

Not only will this allow you to keep up with bugs that come from the patches, but will allow players to always have fresh content instead of burning through large content and then waiting months for something new allowing the player to always be engaged and providing feedback to the development process.

Thank you for your time and consideration with this suggestion/feedback.

Trying to find the same , i think it's possible through the servergrideditor AKA Island editor  , if you CTRL +left click on any "unlocked" island there's a "Spawner override"  option where you could add some creatures spawner , as it was possible with ark but i don't know the correct form to write those lines under this Atlas island editor yet

@ASA you currenlty wrote a Kraken line not a Mermaid one and if you place it in i presume an ini file it will probably add General spawner , not tied to an island

Edit 2 : nevermind it add those to Quest zone !

whales are under the server template types temperate, equatorial, polar, ect.... for the Ocean override spawners

  4. the map icons are controlled by the Quest line: Game/Atlas/UI/Icons/Item_InfinityGem_Icon10.Item_InfinityGem_Icon10

to control the icon location you need to place the x/y blob %. its value is determined by taking the physical discovery point divided by the cell size of the map so for instance my map is a 3x3 my discovery gps for Powerstone1 is x=2,054,001.50, y= 3,518,937.75 and cell size is 4,200,000.00 by 4,200,000.00 so 2,054,001.50/4,200,000 is 0.489048 for X and 0.837842 for y.

Here is a calculator that should help Just put in your data into L9-26 and M9-26 then copy the green boxes into your json

Hey, F' off you troll. Not everyone who enjoys actual PVP also desires the griefing. It is not the same and there should be better options to thwart griefing from the game. You are considering your suggestion as the only solution to the problem when maybe, Grapeshot might consider another solution such as offline raid protection instead. It is not up to you, it is up to them.

offline raid protection is in the game you can enable it on private servers so they do have the ability they just choose not to do it, from most changes they make such as fire dragons, stone nurf, fire arrow nurf, fountain of life, elephant nurf, many of their choices seem to be to grief the player when some things were fine but needed more minor tweeks not the nurf hammer.

I'm generally against region locking. And always against racism. I do believe it makes sense for an Asian server, but let's face it... why would they jump over after being established here so well?

its not racism to give a region such as "Oceanic" like most games do it allows players to have a better game play experience having a server closer to them, if you want to play on another server that's fine I would be pissed off too all the time having to play with crappy ping because I have to choose between two servers half way across the world I had to experience it trying to get to the fountain of youth the first day with a 342 ping playing a game at frame by frame isn't fun.

  7. we store animals at FP because large animals take up space on a ship making it difficult to move; their physical body larger than their visual unless you have a galleon you can barely move around your ship and animals can only be stored on the deck for elephants, giraffes or bears. We don't use them to store blueprints we use them to gather mass amounts of resources because FP has the fastest respawn time for nodes we are capable of storing ship parts at our bases or on ships without leaving them on animals were they have a chance of being killed or lost for staying away too long. getting animals onto ships is difficult and if they teleport into the boats lower deck or into a structure they are stuck there and or in some cases have to destroy the boat planks to get them out. Get over yourself until you actually tame an animal and try to transport it by boat you have no reason to be hot headed.

If an animal is in the FP its because the group goes there often and in most cases they are a lawless company or live in an area where logging off means a wild snake or yeti will kill it, there are so many bugs with tames such as they will teleport outside of their enclosures because they wander even when its turned off, giant snakes go through walls, yeti can attack through stone, animal decides to fall through the worlds geometry or disappear from map over night. has nothing to do with losing a tame in pvp if that was the case no one would fight with them has more to do with broken AI mechanics and the haste with transporting. its easier to leave an animal there when you know you will be back to gather, and how about you just wait the 7 days and try to claim the animal for yourself if you have an issue with it being there.

  8. if your in a small group get prepaired to be raided quite often, navel combat isn't that bad but it takes a bit before you can get a ship with guns unless you have a schooner no point in cannons for awile. also most land is taken on official but you can build in the lawless zones just have to visit your structures every 4 days
