    Yeah it took the the guy that was going to be the ship builder to be able to get on we just said screw it and had the mats ready when he got on. The lawless island we went to had everything we needed. A good 15 minute grind and the two of us had all the resources needed. Definitely loving every minute of it.

    the journey might start tonight but we might wait till tomorrow since they are all eastern and I am pacific. I’ll just make sure we have everything we need for the start tomorrow.

    Except I am not lagging or glitching and to be honest even if I was I wouldn’t care. This is nowhere near as bad as the pc people were making it out to be. Sure it’s 10 months later but there were still a lot of pc guys that were complaining about stuff.

    sure I still think it is stupid lol, but now that I have the highest tier on vitamin deficiency, I just carry around cooked meat with me and don’t have to worry about vitamins for two hours. After that I just go to my preserving drink some milk(got a cow), eat some berries and then eat some potatoes and I am good to go for another 2 hours.

    and don’t get me started on the gathering. It is the perfect mix between Conan and ark. Atlas is nowhere near as grindy as ark was, but yet it isn’t as easy as Conan was with their gathering(mainly the encumbrance build that let you walk at normal speed even with max weight). The grinding is awesome here on atlas. Perfect blend.

    still haven’t gotten to the sailing yet but I will give my opinion on that later.

    Yeah even the whole time I was here I didn’t complain about them still having bugs because I am fine with that. What I do is criticize decisions they make that I think are stupid. They have made some.

    If it is I can’t tell what they are. Spent an hour going to specific spots and couldn’t figure it out. Not just that but I did a google search about them and couldn’t find anything from here or reddit so I am not sure if it is a new thing or not. @Jatheish what’s up with the colored dots on the island maps. I was sure boomer would know.

    I wasn’t actually trying to be a smartass but as you know they just redid the map, so I can’t reliably give you specific locations.

    Generally you’re rarely more than 2 grids away from salt, you just have to find where exactly.

    It’s cool. I was being a smartass as well.

    quick question. What are the red and black dots on the islands in the map?

    So an icebox can’t be placed on a boat? I am pretty close to the arctic currently. Haven’t begun the journey yet because the guy that was going to be the ship builder barely got on a couple of hours ago 😂

    i like the way the skill tree makes you work together but man if that guy doesn’t get on you are screwed 😂

    That's what so called AAA gaming looks like these days. Come to think of it, maybe they should drop one of the A's and just make it AA gaming, because once they're done with you, you'll probably need a support group.

    Loving it so far boomer. Only experienced about 10 minutes of lag. I can tell I will be enjoying atlas for awhile.

    Surprising the lag only lasted 10 minutes. So really only 10 minutes of a few hours were laggy. Loving it by the way. Already have tier 3 taming and a couple level 38 pigs. My buddy just made the tannery so I can make some bolas and get some bears

    Yeah for my first hour of play I had zero lag but now I am getting the rubber banding pretty hard. Cobras 100 ft. Away are killing me 😂

    Well it is 2:50 in the morning and I went to bed early for my full first day and I saw I still have about 30 minutes left on the download 😂 

    unfortunately the download didn’t auto start like it was supposed to when I bought it so I didn’t get to start it till the evening. Oh well, it’s almost done 👍

    going to he’s pretty soon because I want to get a nice and long full day tomorrow. Kudos for those who stayed up but man. Once you go to bed(which will be soon you have a hard day coming for the ones that went to sleep early.

    planning on putting a good 15 hours in tomorrow

If you think this was a one time thing, go look for the thread I started over the weekend creating a pool for how late the launch would be. What does that tell you about the expectations of long time players here?

    Oh, and since you’re new here, it would be easy for you to dismiss me as some blowhard, disgruntled troll venting unreasonably based on this single post. Ask around, I’m pretty fair minded. I believe in giving credit where it’s due and keeping criticism fair and I don’t like mudslinging. GrapeCard has earned this criticism.

    Very well said boomer. I don’t have the fortitude to act as you do. I guess I better start leveling up 😂

    Guaranteed I don’t get bored for at least 6 months. And that is if they don’t add anything.

    i don’t get bored easily, I started playing Conan and got to max level in a week. Built a huge pyramid(unlike any before) then just finished the Taj Mahal before this release and played the game for 6 months without them really adding anything.

    from all of the info I have gathered, this game will keep me busy for a long time even if they didn’t add anything else. You won’t see me here asking for more content because I am not one of those people.

    even in a pve setting, I really couldn’t care if they adding anything new within the first 6-10 months. If it is going to take me 1000 hours just to get all of the discovery points? Yeah I will be good. 

    But really, I am the type that loves gathering resources for hours on end mindlessly grinding. I drink beer and talk to my buddies. I don’t need or even want an end game. Out of all 3 years that I played ark I never once put on a piece of tech gear. Not once, even when I was with a mega. They told me “hey, welcome we have ascendant ghellie armor over here for you” I said, “nah, just give me some hide and let me go to work”.

    i have no I treat in BP’s in the slightest. I see MY end game as having every single discovery point you can have and having the biggest base you can possibly have. Who knows, after that I might go to another game, but as far as right now goes, I know this game can keep me busy for awhile.
