You might not want me here but not only do I have every right to be here but I am more important than you are. The devs need criticism more than they need blind white knighting. You are more than welcome to leave if you do not like it though

There are indeed 15 tiles which hold 150 per tile, however players can still cross between instances, Every tile is a server which is connected to one huge network creating this huge map, 150 per server is still a huge leap compared to ARK’s 70-100 player limit. It is in fact what they said 40k simultaneous players on a single “World”... different instances, in this case you won’t need to transfer stuff between servers such as ark had done.

Nope it was all wildcard. And their track record means everything. Their sales mean nothing since they didn’t even come close to AAA numbers what an idiot

You can defend it all you want, just don’t bother with the “its alpha” talk. No, it’s wildcard. They are the problem. It isn’t the launch that was bad, it is the fact that it will continue to be bad because wildcard is a bad dev company.

yes I can say I know that will happen because I have their 3 year track record on my side. What do you have? Hope?

They aren’t just Megas, but as wildcard said once a square/server goes over the 150 player limit then access will be restricted to the space. 

If a mega has 300 people, all they have to do is have 150 stay at base grinding and building while the other 150 raid on ships.

the kicker is as long as they keep enough people in that square/server they are literally unraidable and invincible

A mega tribe. I forgot not everyone playing this played ark. The ark players will completely smash all of the new comers. 

Megas are are big groups of 200 plus people that will come after you even if you have nothing to take. You will end up seeing them traveling in groups of 10 ships or more. 

If you see them, just run or you will lose all your stuff before you get one shot off

Yeah ships won’t be around for long. The dragon/flier meta will take care of that

side not dont don’t forget about the fire arrow meta that will make guns and swords useless

Just a few things that may help out fellow explorers who haven't played Ark or something similar.

1. WATER-  You can go to an area with dense foliage/grass and lay prone with your hands out "no weapon or tool out"  to dig for water.

2.  EATING- Don't stuff your face with just anything.  You have a food meter that wont allow you to consume if already full. You have to balance out what you eat to keep all your vitamin levels up. Too much of one thing can have negative effects.  Each Vitamin has a color, food items all have colors to show you which vitamin they provide.

3. STARTER ZONE-  Don't leave too early, you may find yourself starving to death or dying to scurvy out on the hi-seas long before you reach another island.  Prepare and pack plenty of food and water skins.

4.   BEDS-  Make sure you place a bed on your raft as soon as possible.  Beds also allow you to spawn on different islands if you have placed them on said islands.

 

There are 100000 more things that will help but these were just a few of the most basic things I could think of.  Feel free to add to this list while we wait for servers to go live.

Biggest tip of all. Join a mega and you will be fine
