  1. Like it or not, in this age of Internet grammar and spelling, I always made my children use complete words, proper punctuation, complete sentences and correct spelling.  I think they benefited from it. They look at Internet grammer as more of a joke than the way to type.

Despite your misguided argument, Grapeshot has implemented this very forum as a place for their player base to post about bugs, exploits, suggestions, experiences, and observations. As a paying customer, I "am" in fact, entitled to voice my continued displeasure about the direction that Grapeshot is taking ATLAS. I am a disgruntled player who has faithfully been playing ATLAS since its launch and I am well within my rights to express my negative dispositions.

Grapeshot has not been very forthcoming with any explanation concerning the magic system and continues to neglect key, bugs and missing content in what "I" believe to be an intentional avoidance of those particular matters in favor of adding in, needless content as an effort to allure new paying customers. I certainly do not need your permission nor your ridicule as I make my post and lodge my complaints, thank you very much.

You are entitled to provide constructive criticism which is a very useful part of feedback. If you read the post I replied to however, you will see that he uses the word 'I' as if he alone were entitled to the innermost thoughts on the dev's processes. He then assumes to know what the dev's are thinking(false information), and calls the new content 'crap'. This is not feedback, it is snarky, a complaint.  It contains no useful information, and the tone is snarky rather than constructive, again, a complaint.  An entitled, insulting, snarky complaint like so many self-entitled Internet tough typers.

My argument is far from misguided. The forums are for 'bugs, exploits, suggestions, experiences, and observations.'  You are entitled to accurately describe an issue that is not to your liking. In a constructive, polite and informative manner. That is called 'feedback'.

The forums have become a haven for keyboard warriors, individuals who use tough, inflammatory rhetoric in an attempt to draw attention.  One is not, in fact, entitled to be rude, to berate, insult or provide crap posts full of nothing but snark and immaturely expressed displeasure. The post that I replied was one of those posts.

Grapeshot owes you no explanations about their process of development. They may address the community about an issue if they wish, but you, as an individual are not entitled to anything except being able to play the game you purchased under the early access agreement.  You have that, and by your own words, have been playing it quite a bit.

Polite discussion and constructive, well expressed, polite feedback is almost always welcome

1y4ou dont have any authority here, yet you answer in such intolerant way, totally forgetting the fact that this forum is meant to gather feedback (or what you call complaints) who do you think you are to tell a customer that has paid for a product that they have no right to complain about the product?, do not assume a job no one has given you, if you are hypersensitive and unable to deal with a different opinion go back to your cave, just because some members of this comunity are not able to express themself with proper maners doesnt mean they are not entitled to have (and voice) their opinion.

none of this is present in all your post, would be wise you apply your own suggestions to yourself

**I** have been eagerly awaiting a magic system since they announce the game and **sold us all** on their trailer depicting magic. **I** am sure that aspect is low on their list of priorities as they **cram crap** they "THINK" will pull in more players. They have never ever replied with an explanation of why it hasn't been added or if, a magic system will even be implemented into the game.

My friend, your post is full of what *you* want and assumptions that *you* know what is on the minds of Grapeshot's devs. Then you call new content crap, which is your opinion.  You then assume to tell folks what Grapeshot "thinks".  Your post and the tone of it is presumptuous, snarky and entitled. As is your attempt to insult and turn my words back on me. As for authority, you're correct, I don't.  I fail to see where you would assume I do, other than the fact that I can actually type complete sentences.

Next time, please try to provide neutral, non-snarky input.  Otherwise known as 'feedback'. Feedback also includes information, screenshots, steps to replicate an issue, system information, driver information and more, not just attitude ridden comments.  Otherwise known as 'complaints'.

They never replied due to the fact that you are not owed anything by them. When it is ready, they will add it. I prefer them actually working on a feature rather than caving to users who feel they are owed. I am glad they are taking their time and trying to minimize impact.

Oh, and kudos on the "yet another attitude ridden complaint" post.  You don't like how it is or where it is going?  Leave.  Play something else. That simple. Don't come here trying to look tough and cool by using inflammatory style posting.

  5. I wonder if they could implement a deed purchase system?  You can sell a deed to people who you think will be okay on your island. If they don't have a deed, their structures decay in 6 hours, if they do, 4 days.  Deed can be refunded at any time provided the owner has the gold.  Tenant has 24 hours to remove stuff they want, then the owner can destroy any structures or let them decay in 6 hours after that. This includes ships/shipyards. @Jatheish

I know our company was always OCD about removing our crap on lawless islands and other players' lands.

Ehh, how I hate that litter. "Temporary" means builder never removes it...

Agreed,  Lawless islands were a huge, laggy mess of crap that wasn't removed by the owners, pillars, foundations. How about the player purchase a deed from the island owner that unlocks a longer decay time, with items built on land without a deed decaying in 6 hours.  That should be long enough to trap and tame.  Island owner can rescind the deed at any time and has 24 hours to destroy the structures of a toxic player whose deed has been taken away.  Owner must have enough gold to refund the deed.

2.)  When a land-owner adds a Company to the inclusion list that unlocks build limits it also increases a Company's decay rate from 4 days to 16-20 days.  (This allows more casual and smaller companies that are trying to build a "home" to not have to worry about maintaining their structures while on vacation, traveling, or if they can't log in except on weekends.

like this, a lot.  To add to #1, the ability to 'evict' should include an option to destroy all of that company's structures, and automatically add them to the blacklist. I seriously think you are onto something here, and hope the devs see this. @Jatheish

  10. Absolutely.  Tame in the wild rather than a trap.  I would gladly adhere to a no-build rule for someone's island. Better yet, tame what you have on your island and trade for what you don't have.

  11. While I appreciate the efforts of the team to develop a solution for land claiming on PVE, this system is a mess.  Within seconds of completing my starter building on an island claimed by our company, a new player spawns and builds almost right up against our walls. Yes, we were able to destroy his building, but what if we had been offline when he built?  We work, and some of us cannot get on for a day when working.  I was unable to get on until Tuesday night, having worked for 48 hours.

The current system encourages trolling and foundation/pillar/building spam.

If nothing else, an option on the flag for "No building except allies" or even "No building except company" would be nice, with the company understanding that all upkeep is their responsibility. This would allow folks to land and collect resources, but not troll by pillar/foundation spam, and build right on top of other players.

Even a HUGE radius of no-build next to enemy structures would be nice.

I dare say we return to the old flag system for PVE, so that players can stake out claims, build in peace, and have the beautiful views we love on PVE, without being trolled or spammed. There are going to be shipyards on top of each other, clogging the waters, building everywhere destroying resource spawns and the beauty of the landscape.

Please, please reconsider this land claim solution?

  12. Hello!  I am excited and looking forward to 'Stadia' a revolutionary new streaming game service that will allow gameplay on almost ANY device. Chromebooks with no GPU acceleration to think of, cell phones, potato computers, and Chromecast ultra. They have created a custom controller, but one can use keyboard/mouse or your own controller.  ( https://www.stadia.com )

I am wondering if the team at Grapeshot is looking into this? It would be huge for Atlas! One could play it anywhere, even when I am sitting in a truckstop on downtime or waiting for loadout.

Please, please check it out Grapeshot.

    @Jatheish @Dollie

  13. One suggestion I have not seen: Please make tames count against weight, not as crew.

Unrelated:  Please make wild creatures not count as crew. If I have 23 out of 23 crew, and a wild seagull lands on my ship, boom, I am sinking through no fault of my own.

  14. Horse and cart should carry weight. Carridge should carry 4 passengers. Cart should increase weight on any animal it is attached to.

Bull, gather thatch like the bear gathers fiber.

Cow, rideable for positioning in barns.

Giraffe, bull, lion, elephant, too much attacking while trying to tame, AOE on these attacks makes it near impossible to tame them, giraffe and elephant especially..

Lasso for the horse. Sneak, lasso, feed. Chance for lasso to break, chance for kicking with torpor/damage when it happens.

  15. It is virtually impossible to find a sweet spot when the animal you are taming continuously hits you.  It is impossible to tame some animals, like a giraffe, since every time you get close enough for the feeding spot, the giraffe then attacks you knocking you back. The most feedings I can get in on these creatures (giraffe, elephant, etc) is 3-6, then the creature starts attacking, and the taming percent falls so fast that I need to start over.

Less attacks? Slower percentage loss so that one can get ahead and eventually tame?  I tried for an hour today, wasting a lot of beets.  The highest I got was 20-something %, then the animal started attacking every time I got near it. By the time it stopped,  the percentage would be zero again.

I understand the need for hardcore struggle, but making it impossible will just drive people away from playing out of frustration.  Needs balanced?

Also, issue with taming a horse. The run from you far too fast and long for taming.  There Is no way to get them in a pen to tame them and no way to tame them in the wild. Best you can hope for is set up a trap and wait until something worthwhile gets in it. There needs to be a different mechanic for taming creatures that run, including lions as they run more than they attack.

Looking forward to a solution. Thank you.
