  1. Guess this is it then, I'll be back in a few months to see the winds being returned home. As the game was sold to us. For now it's uninstalled, I still feel it's a real waste of what started out as a good game. Goodluck for the devteam, or whoever came up with these blunded ideas.

Take care, it was another crazy season, that's for sure.

    Cheap right///

You just 100% confirmed why i'm not coming back after the wipe. In fact A LOT of the long time players and big companies aren't coming back. You'll notice your player count after the upcoming wipe lol.

The ship prices EVERYONE disliked and asked you not to do! you just raised and made 50 thousand times worse.

50k for a Galleon, your out of your minds. The only way this even works is if gold is handed to you on a plate in which case makes it worthless. Simple economics. How is a solo company expected to make 50k while you remove gold making opportunities. For the love of god do yourselves a BIG favour and reverse that decision.

You just killed your own game. Gratz. Implementing changes no one asked for and adjusting things no one cares about. 50 cannonballs stack to 100, NO ONE CARES! It made zero difference to anyone's life.

All I can do is laugh at this point because this game has turned into nothing but a joke lol. I've been here since the 1st roll out and enjoyed the game but you've lost your way....

You should seriously reconsider this "Tentative" change... I mean seriously LOL

We'll get apologies for the typos.

    Or not.

I'm trying to complete my Powerstone quests.  I just completed the G6 quest and recieved the blue stone on my compass and my maps show them completed as well.  However, under the Discoveries tab it doesn't show that it has been completed.  I'm assuming this is a bug and reported it but I was wondering if anyone else has this problem as well.  It would be good to hear from those with all the stones and those like me, who have completed the G6 quest but not all of the other stones.  Thanks mates!

    Reboot your game.

Do you play pve cpt yarrr? You couldn't get an island?

Yes I play PvE and no I chosen otherwise this and the previous season I went solo on Lawless. In the last few weeks before the upcoming wipe I joined a few good old mates. I owned a piece of island on S1 and my company owned 2 during S2.

I love how the giveaway page said that Atlas is, “the ultimate pirate experience.” Apparently, real pirates had it much worse than I could have imagined.

    LOL

I can't even imagine the thoughts of the current devteam. Why on earth does a pirate have to find so much gold to build ships and or even try to maintain an island without having a decent income?

A real pirate stole himself a ship, went to the pub and roughed up some sailors to sail with him, looking for treasures/adventures/brothels to pillage. Oh and here's another thing, we get elephants and farmhouses to get wood for instance. Where are the sawmills/carpenters/ and so on? And thats just for wood. Imagine stonequarries or blacksmiths, maybe this is a plan for more NPCs at cities or maybe to hire them instead of all these luckyshot BPs. Buy/conquer or enslave one, thats more of a reward, preferrable with some (up to) mythical skills.

This game let's you struggle to build a base or even get "lucky" to get to own an island without the above. Next to the thing it will be a pain in the arse to level up AND make some decent gold next season. My guess is the devs are getting really bored from these "seasons" and are planning on a looooooooooooooooooooooooong one this time.

Each pirate needs to start off at his own little island, with enough mats to make (at least) a decent ship. Then partner up and BUY theirselves an island, so their "starters one" can go POOF and new players can jump on. The current claimingsystem is even worse then the first one with the pieces of island. But at least, that gave way more interaction due to the diversity of companies on 1 island.

This game is going  to be WAY more different then it was originally sold to the majority of us.

And that, even for an early acces game,

    SUCKS.

P.S. I'm still available to do some testing, these bugpatches are getting pretty annoying.

I think the thing that upsets most of us about Atlas is the same, and it's not the money. It's the potential this game started out with, that is now being gradually washed away on the tide.

    Spot on.

The problem is that steam and microsoft and other game outlets, don't have any time restrictions on early access. There should be defined  parameters that force a game out of early access after an agreed period of time. It's steam and microsoft etc that we as gamers should be contacting about the issue, because they are at the route of the problem. And only they can stop the  exploitation from happening, by having established rules for ea games.

EA games should be free, due to alot of failures. Better yet, people should get paid instead of the other way around.

Let's see how many companies can keep their heads up then. Look at Wildcard, if ATLAS didnt show up, I'm almost certain they never couldve made the expansions from ARK.

Things people have wanted since day 1:

Less lag, bugs and spam. A simple system with claimable land for everyone, more ship types to build, less mini games, more quests, better AI for current quests.

    Let’s see if your listening.

Things people have wanted since day 1:

    LASERS

Let’s see if your listening. *reading* (nop)

    In a more seriously tune:

I've stopped hoping/wishing to be honest. Next season will be a long one with these new trade routes and very less ways of getting leveled up. Trades are the new way for gold. FFS. Really? That's gonna be 10 times worse play and way WAY more toxity then we experienced up till now. Not to mention the fact that for PvE players the game will suck even harder.

No, this game is going to be near death real fast next season. Good to see Snail/Grapeshot/Wildcard keeps on grabbing money from PvE players to save their PvP ambitions and do NOTHING  ABSOLUTE NADA NIKS

     for the PvE community.

Yeah I remember. Just did another run, on a island that usually nets me around 20 maps I came back with 3 lool.

Pretty much all but a handful today were 0.5 quality, but still empty.

When you see a bottle, weirdly shaped and a deep purple shine on it and you go like:"YAAAAAAAAARRRR, I'm gonna be rich!!!"

Pick up bottle, poof and gone.

Reminds me of a certain gamingcompany...

personally i just wanted to be able to add a ramming device to ships and other additions that cost resources like metal plating. instead of improving on existing elements of the games and fixing whats wrong they go deeper into other things and expect us not to complain about the broken stuff

Same. It was one of the things I really would love to see in this game.

    With lasers ofc.

  11. Sounds like a very old bug reappears. Remember 8 to 10 weeks after first release when they fixed alphas? Thats about the same time maps went "sour". Guess someone is using alot of salt again.

Atlas droped down to the same player ammount on steam like before season 3 end. But consider that time there was maybe some more Xbox Players in the game.

If they start wiping only because of the trade routes and no fixes of the current game they will not get back to 7k Players peak. But they don't care as long some play it and give them feedback they may use. obviusly they think with full release some day they get all ark players joining the atlas.

ARK players are Zookeepers for the most part, so not gonna happen.

ATLAS is only 1 way direction and that's down the drain. It has been since there where "seasons" introduced. No clear line where the game is going to, deffo loose of char and progress each new season, and so on, so on, so on....

With each "season" comes new devs. And like in ARK, they all have their prestigeprojects. Bugfixes are not happening for a bit (not now, not next season and even not on full release), unless PvP has a disadvantage then they're being soved in no time.

PvE is nothing worth for Grapeshot, altho it has BY FAR the largest active community. Yet, these players are being left in the dark and they need to live on the same principles as PvP. There are so many ideas thrown down on this forum, on Discord and even on Twitter. But all being silenced due to own prestiges.

In short, they will wipe and you need to start over AGAIN with all old bugs. Live with it, try to have fun and stay safe. Especially in these days.
