    Also have not been able to login since update.

    So the only difference then, is that your friend is able to log into your account and your character and play on official servers, from a different IP? Have you tried to log in with a VPN?

    Thats very interesting. It defiantly sounds like a client side issue. Have you "verified the integrity of game files" thru Steam properties? If so, how many failed to validate?
