Well, seeing as I've got 1600 hours clocked on Atlas in beats, I think it's fair to say I have time to play the game and for several hours at a time. As explained, I have no issue with grind until it seems unfair. 

So, couple things to address.

- You should ask for advice on the most basic of things you need to play the game.

- The game needs more sources to invest it's currency.

 

That's stupid. Why do I need to play the game your way, when I've played the game my way without an issue and enjoyed myself. Enjoyed myself enough to keep returning to playing the game. And let's be clear, we're not talking about how to make all the money in 5 seconds. This isn't me asking how to do end game content by myself. This is very basic progression. I shouldn't have to scour the forums in search for a method in which to build a basic ship. I shouldn't have to do even more work. There's enough.

This would be a completely different story if I was buying a prebuilt ship. That's fair. You can either do the labor, OR you can pay money for a built one. Boom, solved. In fact, that seems to be the direction they're going with these 'new' ships. Remove the gold cost then on one's you build yourself.

 

Second thing: "gold is worthless without something to spend it on". Okay.

What is the actual purpose of the trade system then? Isn't that supposed to be how it works? You sell things to people, make money, then use that money to buy things you need? Why is that not working?

Cosmetic stuff is also purchasable, which I've done. And they tend to be pricey, given you have to buy the set in pieces. There's also cosmetics for your ships for purchase. There's tames you can buy for the luls in pve. Helpful in pvp, I understand. And now they have purchasable ships! Whole ships built so you don't have to.

What I'd propose, is that primitive ships should not have a cost. Their primitive, and the goal really should be to build a better one. Uncommon, rare, ect. Stronger ship, more levels, so forth. Stronger ship demands more cost, and originally did. I mean, if you wanted a mythical ship, you have to have 6 different types of materials in order to build it. Which was fair, so assigning gold on top of that seems a bit over board to me but. "We need gold sinks" apparently.

 

I think the other guy was a white knight. For some reason they will defend any decision the devs make. Kind of like leftists and CNN. Blows my mind as well.

the game is dead man. The forums will not let you speak your peace without resistance if it differs from their view. These forums are a lot like the real world and politics. Almost exactly so.

Look at how New World have implemented it, you have 3 factions that can fight for an area with structures, a certain time is set to defend/attack the base which you can opt in or out to do. You lose it you must try to regain control and push back. Atlas could have done something similar have a big island with a fort of some kind with structures to take control of, 3 or 4 factions trying to take control of it. The faction in control has certain perk or benefits.

We know it won't happen though, wishful thinking. I will certainly enjoy playing the New World beta from tomorrow though, I can see the numbers drop further it will be interesting to see just how many abandon ship again. 

Well they are barely 200 from their all time low so once new world comes out I am guessing they will preemptively “wipe” and do a new “season” 2 months early with a new map again lmao

Shouldn’t be for ships though. That was actually a stupid idea. Should have made it cost gold to do powerstones of the kraken or something. Gold for ships was one of their worst ideas and the numbers prove it.

Why they develop it towards large groups I will never know, they forget about the small groups and solo players. Having factions at least you can all fight for a common cause if you wanted to not be forced to "you are chopping trees today" no thank you. I will never return to the game as it stands and I hear the same sentiments among my friends and thousands of other players who started at launch.

You will always get a few players though who want to keep it the way it is like chuckysteak, only because it caters towards large player base only and not the solo/small groups. I will be enjoying my time in New World where they actually think about PvE as well as PvP in faction systems. Unfortunately Atlas is a dead game and you will see the players drop even more when New World is released. 

They have never listened to the community, they were caught out over a year ago passing on information to the top companies of the game, they have ruined what could have been the best pirate game out there as well as a MMO. They should all be sacked or just move back to Ark altogether.

Dude, I have been claiming factions before probably anyone(not competing here). I am completely with you on this. They literally put their knee pads on for megas. They must have been busy.

if you haven’t noticed though, ark always catered to Megas as well. Ark was a success however, where atlas was a crappy copy and paste ark.

these guys literally didn’t do anything different except make more water besides land. It really was pathetic. 

Pretty sure if it is pvp what white hawk said would still be able to be sung by what ranger said. But to be honest in pvp I don’t even think it needs to be company owned weight on the ship to sink it. Literally any weight could do it.

if they don’t even have a single player that works then they definitely aren’t going to have an online that works lol these guys failed in every way, professionalism, communication, ethics, you name it.

Down to 1322 average and 1108 is the all time low even though we saw it lower but the devs did the wipe a few days before the end of the month(smart or unethical). Either way the boost is only slowing down the drop.

it has kept dropping regardless of the boost and the boost is almost over so let’s see where the numbers go once the boost is done. I guess if you can’t stop the drop you can slow it to a leak for a little while. The only thing is that the boost is almost done so yeah.

edit: once the rejects realize all they did was grind out mats for the Megas to take they will be gone as well.

Nope. Rates are only raised for the event. They will go back down in a few days lol.

-Increase the fucking whale spawns!

- maps rng isint equal on all islands, some islands have way betther map quality spawns. 

-Freeports needs to go. this is shit for a full loot open pvp game, Megas and randoms hide their loot,tames,ships here. and also breed without any kinda risk.

-Make armored docks so you cannot store gold in them, instead you can choose to pay up to 30 days of protection.

- All current modular ships are garbage and need to be deleted from the game completely. (Start from scratch or just make new ship skeletons we can build on, current system is alot betther.) 

-Make so ships can go up to lvl 70-80

-Crafting bonus is way too bad when u go max intelligens. (solution is to not make rng instead when u have certain intelligens u get certain % always.) 400-500 intelligens = 20% craft bonus.

-You cannot make a ship in company to a certain rank, (You should be able to do this with 2 clicks, and then a lower rank cannot unanchor,sail away,destroy planks and so on)

- Switches are slow and bad and laggy, You should be able to switch weapons,tools on a instant click. would make pvp more skill based and fun.

- Huge mistake was to add claimable lawless, They need to go asap. this made so many people not wanna live in the north or come back this season. If theres no peace timer, this is a complete shit system that others only take advantage off. 

-Too much spam when building base, makes alot of lag.

-No proper bug or system fixes, just pointless add ons, Stop adding stuff nobody asked for.

-Ships are claimable in armored dock even if you stand on them or have npc, (You Hafto unanchor to take the claim flag away)

Heres a couple of things that i didint enjoy 

Now i will try to solo atlas again in singleplayer and kill kraken 2 on max diffuculty and hope the game dosent destroy my save as last time.

All good reasons. The only problem is if you are coming back next season you do realize none of that will change though right?

they are just going to change the map again a little and call it a new season. They might bring in another copy paste feature like they did with platform saddles and I wouldn’t be surprised if they added a couple dinos from ark as well.

ark still keeps its numbers high so don’t be surprised if they to to arkify atlas even more than it is.

Nope. Nothing has changed. Well there is a lot more bugs and glitches and the population is only a fraction of what it used to be if you have played since a year ago.

there is about an average of 1 person per server so hopefully you didn’t like talking to and dealing with people. You will have to look really hard for that.

so yeah ships still cost and there are more problems than before lol

EDIT: also very important. They also gave us less ways to make gold now lmao. Yeah that is real lol

Well the important thing is that you stick to your word and actually never play again. If you come back they will realize you had nothing but empty threats and know that they own you. 
 

even later on if they do start fixing stuff if you come back they will realize they can do whatever they want to you and get away with it. It would also say a lot about you as a person as well. Nobody likes someone that can’t keep their word.
