So ive found that i can build another cargo rack and replace the crate if i have the spare cargo rack in my inventory. However, i cant build just the crates on their own. Or can I? It kinds defeats the point in having an empty crate if the resources to make a entire rack are the same as replacing the crates. Is this the way its meant to be or am i missing something? I have all engrams and everything unlocked.

I get that its a persistent world and to be honest if my base gets raided, its something i need to accept. I certainly would raid too if the situation was reversed. Its the whole starting over from nothing thats a bit rough and still, i get it... What my suggestion is, is quite small but effective i think. You can entrust one ship to the npc who sells you ramshackle sloops. It costs gold each time you do so and you put gold in his inventory and it periodically trickles down per day. once you do the ship store the ship it disappears from the game and makes it safe. However once the money runs out he dumps it on the dock as if it was spawned and lets freeport decay do its work. You cannot however store valuable loot and stuff in there. Only necessary stuff like food, ammo and tools. So you cannot hide your gold of legendary blueprints etc. Your tames cannot be stored either. It means you still need friends or a well hidden base to keep your valuables. But when you lose everything you dont need to raft it out of freeport, you can just grab your painted and cannon laden ship and go about your business. Just make sure you dont lose your last ship as its literally the only thing you have left. So when you have been offline raided, your ship is sunk etc its like having a backup ship, a one you hope never needs to be used but a one that can get you back into it without the long long grind. Solos would likely take their ship out and store it inside there for safe keeping. However having only the bare basics, its not a life they will be content with for long. Eventually they will want to get more..but at least they can do a bit honest pirating and build up a for a future offline raider. And you have a second chance as it were without being too OP.

Im new to the pvp and worried about offline raiding. However with that said, i figure i’ll just get stuck in and give this a go. Before i spend many hours gathering a hoard of loot. Does anybody have tips for hiding my base? Is it possible? Even if its just a tiny 4x4 with a chest full of gold. Im a solo and im all for the solo life so i accept ill only likely be sailing sloops. However i can just rebuild these and off I go. But i need a solid plan for a place to stash my loot. Any tips?

Blackwood keeps closing the xbox application randomly. Currently in this build its no longer playable. Anyone got a workaround?

I have started single player in Maelstrom update and as you know you spawn in middle ocean. Now i am unsure where i am on the map and even using the flying commands i still cannot find land and my position on the map is bugged and changes all the time. Does anybody know what coordinates i need to use to teleport myself into a freeport so i can start the singleplayer game! I know somebody out there knows how to do this. Im a relatively new player and i really need help.

This maelstrom update is a nightmare. Single player constantly crashes now. Never had issues before. I now spawn in middle of ocean and I got to use console commands to get free and whenever I actually get near the border to change server the game crashes. I get this is early access. However if you are going to update the game please do proper testing before you make changes. Because now I can't even play because it keeps crashing. Its like playing a Bethesda game now. Ridiculous.

Playing blackwood. Unable to dig for water. Is this deliberate or a bug? Im not sure.

For some reason on blackwood map you cannot dig water with your hands like normal. Also attempting to do so sometimes causes the game application to close and return to xbox home screen. Is it intentional to not dig on blackwood or is it a bug? Ive never encountered a crash on ocean map before.

I can't spawn anywhere but the ocean in single player now since the update dropped. Any idea how I can spawn on land?

Hey guys. First Post here. Nice to meet you all. I need help. I was loving single player and been sailing the seas loving life. Now the maelstrom update drops and I keep spawning into the sea f6. I can't figure out how to respawn on land and I've completely deleted my saves etc and it won't even give you the option to pick a region. Online works fine but single player doesn't give the option. What can I do? Most importantly.. I know this is an early access game but come on.. Do they even play test before they drop updates? Can someone help me out? I'm stranded at sea and I'm a constant respawning shark food.
