It's been confirmed before, can't remember where exactly, but confirmed by the devs that you just need to board the ships. Rendering is not enough.

You can't claim lawless islands. They only have island points because of the silo thing. It says so in the patch notes.

Are you sure? I believe it works on settled, unsettled, and lawless islands?

They can't commit to no more wipes until the game is official launched out of EA. So you'll be waiting until 2020 or 2021.

I always keep it off my hotbar until I'm near the area, then put it on my hotbar to see exactly where it is. Often if it is in an area full of trees, i'll remove it from my hotbar, clear the trees and any other threats, then get in position and add it back to my hotbar.

Sometimes I misjudge. Yesterday I did exactly this, cleared the trees, then thought I was a little in front of the spot, I add the map to my hotbar and suddenly find I was right on the spot and was surrounded lol.

But so far not come across any maps in bases. If I did then i'd not activate it as that's unfair.

Hence why I added the small text in the brackets which would help in those instances, at least for non meat eaters.

This is why on PvE structures need increased timers such as 14 days, and tames need increased timers from 8 days to match, i.e. 14 days.

It's silly that timers are different for different things:

• Tames - 8 days
• Structures - 10 days
• Ships - 21 days

It doesn't make sense why tames are 8 days but structures 10.

@Dollie @Jatheish I know i've said this plenty of times before, but we really need timers increased on PvE. 10 days is too short for holidays or unexpected absences.

(Also if Silo could feed tames with berries too that would be amazing, hehehe hint hint )

Not to mention a ridden tame has a much faster attack speed than an unridden tame, and also has a brain (i.e. the player) to be able to maneuver when needed.

All you need to do when you log on is fast travel to each bed on each ship. Doesn't take long unless you have many many ships. It may seem stupid, but it is very much needed.

And yes there are plenty of people playing on PvE servers, it's not like there is many more on PvP servers.

You're talking about ceilings right, not foundations? Is this the same issue as ceilings disappearing when you demolish something nearby?

Not sure how much people would be able to experience in a single free weekend. More than likely it could do more harm than good as it may not give a real impression.

People wanted the previous wipe because of the mess of the claim system, they couldn't get their own land and the cheats, so why do people want wipe now? What will a wipe do that would be good for the game (i.e. not good personally for you)?

Temperate doesn't need more storms. Why does every area need tons of storms, cold fronts, heatwaves? Just because tundra gets, shock horror..... cold fronts, and tropical/equatorial gets, shock horror.... heatwaves, why does Temperate need more storms?

If you live in tundra or tropical/equatorial then that means you chose to live in environments prone to those. Who says temperatue should be prone to more storms?

Sounds to me like you feel because you suffer storms and cold fronts more that others in calmer areas should suffer more.

If auto-decay came into affect for tames then tames should have their timer boosted to at least the same as structures if not ships. Tbh it's stupid that structures have 10 days when tames only have 8.

The one wipe was due to the major claim overhaul. That wasn't a minority issue of cry babies it was a necessary evil.

You won't get a definitive answer whilst the game remains in EA. Having said that I suspect wipes are last resort actions for the Devs.

Presumably because silo's are only capable of feeding NPC crew which can simply be fed with berries. Therefore there is no requirement to allow any other foods in the silo.

That x amount of time is 3 weeks. That's a pretty generous amount of time.

It's designed to stop the pile up of abandoned ships everywhere. If they never auto-decay then it would get very messy and would also impact server performance.

All one has to do is log on and step foot on each ship once every 3 weeks. If you cannot log on for a few minutes once every 3 weeks then that is unfortunate.

I think they last until they get killed or someone else claims them. Don't think they auto decay like structures.

Normally you pick up 2 rocks not 1. Been like that for months.
