? I’m saying pretty much every game developer with large servers say the same.

Yes, people say things, but thats not proving a point about player numbers. I think I saw a post about the devs thinking about reducing the number of regions due to the number of players, as Atlas was designed with more than 6k players in mind. I think Enki was talking about the potential amount of players for the game. Not talking about what other game devs besides atlas are doing.

i respect your opinion, i simply dont share it, also i am trying to understand what you mean by ATLAS being difficult (or even hardcore) but the only thing that comes to min is that you are playing a different version of ATLAS since the official servers are actually pretty easy.

What server are you on? Full loot, losing inventory when you die, in a persistent world is just about as hardcore as it gets in gaming.

powerstones: well you dont have to fight every single thing you find you know? i mean you are free to do it and waste lots of time and resources for it but that is called being inefficient not hardcore, also thats poor game design, as you mentioned people do naked runs simply because the game developers think that if you drop your stuff when you die the game is harder, but at the same time they implement no feature to avoid people doing naked runs, wich makes no sense.

How can you argue that dropping your stuff when u die does not make the game more difficult? Because there is no feature to avoid naked runs?

Why don't you go in the cave and farm some xp?

thats exactly what i discovered the first day i tried to do the powerstones, some people i know tried 50 runs and died all of them, and there i was crawling my way to the machine in my 3rd attempt xD

You can just run in, it's faster. You shouldn't die 50 times now that they nerfed the crap outta golden age.

  3. What does sovereignty mean exactly? PVE while breeding bears in RP castles?

Factions would need content. However, the roadmap states no new content for a while, and I think stage one is still happening.

If there was a bonus/buff (nooo, lets nerf everything!) when doing faction vs another faction, and no bonus for faction vs own faction, while still keeping the 'vision of pvp persistent worlds that we can explore!", that might be fun. Other MMO's are meh.

  4. In reply to someone saying "from what they understand WC and GS both work in the same building" you want to post that they are independent, and it's just like Instinct Games being a studio made specifically to work on Ark?

Instinct games is from Egypt, I don't think they share offices due to location. They did work on ark, but that doesn't mean a whole lot. Is that why you're posting screenshots? Because they worked on ark?

iirc, Grapeshot was created with a bunch of WC and a bunch of Instinct Games devs, along with some other new hires.

Might want to edit your op.

Factions man... factions. Im telling you. Also.... MOST PvE players seem to be really happy with the game when they aren't getting griefed.

Plus, having big ass period accurate manor kicks ass no one is "making you farm" its pirate game. Go steal shit.

the same people who try and police/pillar spam everything they find.... on PvE.

you have to do like 20 trips just to transport the metal they had

but it was still far better to just gather in my base with using my mounts, imo the ships are too small to fit the animals you need to do stuff properly, for that reason i built a galleon, but is expensive to maintain and the turning

    Ramble, ramble, ramble.

Hey, you kids, get off my lawn!

  6. Choosing to play the computer game atlas in pve is a waste of time. Any time spent on pve is not by choice, it is because pvp sucks, and experiencing the content can be a good choice to spend time.

Unfortunately, the content is not compelling enough. Losing all my stuff was much more interesting.

The person I replied to was ranting about how GS is "repeating all the same mistakes with breeding as Ark" even though its

Quite the contrary. Breeding is far easier in Atlas

"Ark has better breeding mechanics for people who cant be online 24/7 or absolutely need their imprints"

Is it easier or what? It's far more tedious, and less accessible. Why would you say it is easier than Ark, but then say its better for people who can't be online 24/7? Are you online 24/7 playing pve atlas, breeding your baby bears in your rp castle?

Absolutely not necessary as carbines and a good ship are needed to progress.

Takes a few hours to breed some good animals, have fun with your early/late game scrub harvest rates and getting one shot by op swivel horses, because you won't be able to keep up with those who have the necessary tames/stats.

Breeding is boring when there are alternatives and no need to actually do it.

If you think that breeding is boring, and no need for it, that sounds like you're saying that they are repeating the same mistakes with breeding as Ark. Could you explain this further?

There are more changes coming silly. Read the blog. It's not just you "wanting puckle and swivel dmg increased" that makes you and most of the PvP community sound like cry babies.

We didn't want puckle and swivel dmg increased, you misread my post because you have no clue what you're talking about. Did you notice the posters above talking about invulnerable / very annoying bases?

What changes? I read the blog, silly.

Yeah man, how dare they have fun. They should be constantly pissed off too.

    Those drums sure are fun?

Pillars do work inside rocks, you just have to snap things using Q inside of them, sadly. I agree though, this needs  to be made easier

Somehow I doubt you've ever built in a rock.
