Bleakwise 6 Posted June 8, 2019 One simple change that could/should be done to the game that would automatically increase the types of ships at sea would be to rebalance medium and small sails. Leave large sails as they are, but make two medium sales better than one large, and make two small better than one medium. The reasoning for this is simple, people would use more and more types of sails on their boats becaus as far as sail-points are concerned the smaller sails would be an improvement over the larger ones. For example, on a brig you might use any combinatoin of the available sails, maybe just one medium weight, two large speed, and one medium speed. On a schooner you might use two medium speed and a small weight, or handling sail. etc etc... This combined with something like allowing cannon ports to be used with Oars/NPC Oarmen would vastly improve the number of ship builds that are viable to the game.
