Can't progress past the raft without being killed on site by high level players on islands?

So I got the game the same time it released...  And since it's been playable I have found it almost impossible to progress through the game without getting absolutely murdered on site.  I'll create my raft.  Sail out to any island I can find to craft a base to build to store some materials, and hopefully craft a larger ship like a schooner or even just a sloop.  To just get killed on arrival by someone with metal swords, metal armor, and even sometimes killed by someone with a gun.  I've spend the past 2 days just trying to find a safe place for me and my friends to start to build but no luck...  Goodbye to 15+ hours of my time.  I'm tired of repeating the process.


Any others having the same issue?

Welcome to PvP.

Atlas is especially challenging when solo.  Either understand and live with that, or find a company to join, lots are looking for members.

Lose ur bed and ur fcuked. Any attackers ran past me to get my bed first.

Why not changing the PVP into a form, where solo players wit a life-job-family can survive ?

if someone dont like to play as a guild slave he should not be forced to do so.
