Something happens if I can not go to the "Imprinting" after 8 hours?

I endured 8 hours for the 1 "Imprinting" but ... I'm going to get caught at night, something happens if I can not go after 8 hours? Could I go when 2-3 more hours pass? My animal is juvenile.

you don't have to hit the imprints at the timers you just wont get a 100% imprint
