Spawning locations

For some reason every time me and my friend log into server, and select the same location on grid, we spawn completely different islands? Is this a bug?

No this is intended. You spawn anywhere on the grid, there is no 1 spawn point per grid.

So I spawn in what is like tutorial island and he spawns in wilderness haha okay ty

if your are lucky you will spawn near island if you are not  you can spawn deep in the ocean near jelly fish and sharks (this happen to me 4 time in a row).

 i relly hope Devs will fix it soon

He cannot even stay alive long enough to get anywhere and rage quitting, depressing..

meanwhile I'm enjoying what I've played so far because of my spawn point, its safe, life resources near my starting point, and a port awaiting my departure into the real game when I'm ready to do so, seems unfair tbh
