Private home island idea

Recommended Posts

Hello!

Im not sure if this idea has been in somewhere older posts, if so sorry for that.

I was thinking what if each player got his own private island, hosted in cloud or local computer. Only this player can live/build/breed/tame there.

And when player go sailing he could sail to open MMO seas for search rare resources or sell/trade with ppl out there or hunt treasures do quests etc with others even be part of some comppany.

I think this would solve lots of solo/single player problems.

You mean unofficial? It probably won’t work for official since it will give lots of problems. If half decides to leave the game what happens to their islands and their coding? If you settle on an island that has been hosted before, what happens then? With unofficial you can already link up servers together. If you have 224 friends that want to join you can have the same server as the officials 😄

No i mean official. And only this one player can get in to it and do stuff he wants to. Nobody else would even see it on mmo part.

Similar to player housing or phased zones in other games. Only your company or allies could visit your island. This would be an option if you aren’t lucky enough to snatch up a public island right away (because they will go quick).

Not sure if that’s technically viable in this game but it’s a cool idea and would solve the claim issues.
