New to Island Editor

So I am attempting to make a custom map for a server I'm trying to help some friends run. However, I've been running into issues that doing a simple Google search does not help with since there seems to be so little HELPFUL information out there and if there's any, it's VASTLY outdated.

One of the issues I am running into right now is the fact that one of the starter islands is not having it's plants give the right materials.

A good example of this while holding down the 'H' key to see what it would drop displays wild rice and rice seeds. When harvested it instead gives Wild greens and no seeds and some fibers. As it is, it's a miracle that the map 'works' with some major bugs.
