  1. No explanation needed... Bigger submarines and different classes of them, much like the schooner, brigantine and galleon classes.

Along with it, you could add some anti-sub weapons for ships, like depth-charges and a new device for detecting them... Like a magical/steampunk device that works like sonar

  2. Hello,

This is entirely unrelated, but something I think Atlas players would find useful is a route calculator for treasure maps.

If you were thinking of making anymore tools that people might use on a regular basis, I think this might be one.

You could set your grid size,

    Add your starting point/grid,

Add in a list of all the grid locations you have treasure maps (A2, C4, D5, E4, etc)

And it would then decide the best route for you to take.

When you're with 4+ allies, all with their own maps, then trying to plan out the best route can be difficult and time consuming.

Just a thought anyway, I don't know if it would interest you but I feel like it could be popular once people discovered it.

This is a re-post, due to original poster being lost at sea.

We are The Friendly Server, already hosting a vibrant and (forgive the pun) friendly Ark community across 7 Ark maps.

In January this year, our tireless leader launched The Friendly Server for Atlas and our 2 communities live side by side in discord which now boasts a healthy 800+ members.

The bulk of this of-course is Ark players, so never fear, our Atlas server has plenty of space available for new players and builders to setup their fortresses or seaside towns.

We are running on 2 dedicated, high spec servers, free from rubberbanding or lagg. The servers are based in the UK but we have players from allover the world joining us.

As mentioned, it's a 5x6 map home to more than 100 islands.

5 grids are reserved for all 9 powerstone islands and 9 trenches whilst a 6th grid is reserved for the Kraken. We also have 1 pvp grid and another grid for hosting server events/games. The remaining 22 grids are for building and player bases with a balanced mix of all the biomes.

We are a pve server and an entirely a pve community, but since we all get a kick out of blowing each other up, we've added a pvp grid for fun. Easily avoided and clearly marked

Both in Ark and Atlas we do not support a "pay to win" environment and we keep our boosted rates at a sensible level to ensure that the intended game mechanics are still relevant but also boosted enough to take away the grind found on official servers.

    Server settings/features:

    • 4x Harvesting
    • 6x Taming
    • 3x Exp
    • 6x Egg/Gestation
    • 7x Maturing
    • 2x Difficulty (max level wild spawns are 60)
    • 4x spoil timers(increased stacks for spoilables)

    • Noclip enabled,
    • Fountain of Youth permanently active on all powerstone Islands,
    • Old flag claim system,
    • Servers are never wiped unless official updates force it,
    • All 9 powerstones, 9 trenches, Ghostship, Kraken grid, Ice Cave

    The Friendly Server Mods:

    • Atlas Transfer\\Pickup Gun
    • Custom Item Stacks (for spoilables only)
    • eco's RP Decor
    • Unlockable Submarine

We are very careful about adding mods that cannot promise long term support or severly damage game mechanics. Many servers have already wiped for installing mods that are no longer supported. More mods will be added in future.

Rules, join links and mod links can all be found on our website or in Discord.

  4. Has anyone noticed this powerstone island to be over-spawning animals and monsters?

We've done a fly by of all the powerstone Islands and they all show a regular, ordinary amount of spawns. They all have 1 hydra or 1 dragon.

However Mnt_Y_EU_PVE always spawns 3 hydras(immediately after a Dino wipe is done), and the number of animal/monster spawns is easily 3 times that of all the other powerstone Islands. Navigating the island on foot is absolute chaos. If I were to use rhino's as a measuring stick, there would be something spawned every 2 rhino's apart (or less)

Is this a config issue, or a bug with the island itself?

  5. Set the larder to feed all crew on the ship that the larder is placed.

Remove the range factor for larders once they are placed on ships, and make the larder feed all crew contained on that ship, regardless of range.

Doesn't seem right that crew members should starve to death because the food was at the back of ship and the crew was at the front of the ship

  6. Best reviews ever... "so I've been playing Atlas now for 5000 hours and somehow I'm such a total blindsighted moron that I'm unable to realise that 5000 hours on a game counts for it being good, so, because I'm such a negative, hateful, little loner, I'm gonna trash talk all the points of this game that I find annoying because I'm incapable of seeing past that, and realising why I actually played this game for 5000 hours. "

  7. I like the vitamins mechanic, now that we have better cooking and foods to manage it with, I dont have any complaints... But between starting and reaching that stage, we relied on killing ourselves to manage our vitamins. I don't think they should remove it, but it does need to be more manageable for players without the tier 3 recipes.

For us we just keep a bag loaded with fish n chips and pork pies. This keeps our vitamins balanced and we don't kill ourselves anymore

  8. Can we have different profiles for our skill points? It's pretty tedious having to reselect all your skills everytime you reset.

Most of the time, we don't craft our new blueprints just for that reason.... We tend to wait until we have a large collection that need crafting before we can be bothered resetting our skills (again...)

I've no gripe with how the skills and levels work, it's a much cleaner setup than Ark, but being able to save skill point profiles would make the process less annoying.

  9. Can we have lanterns changed so that they don't need removing from their wall hooks to be repaired?

Would be alot better if we could just walk up to the hook with oil in our inventories and press E to repair... Like we would if we were repairing any structure on our ships.

I assumed that this was how they were repaired, until our 200ish lanterns all needed repairing.

We've taken all the lanterns down and replaced them with RP Decor lights.

It's a shame because the Atlas lanterns are much prettier and give off a cool glow at night time.

I hope repairing them can be less tedious in future. Lighting a large base with these is currently impractical.

Doesn't make sense that I need a smithy to add oil to a lantern does it? 😛

I don't call the gas company everytime my zippo runs out of fuel lol

  10. Pretty self explanatory.

Stacked foundations often look ugly when the outer edge is visible. The pretty decoration doesn't always go where you want it and they generally look a bit mix and match.

It would be cool if we could set their models to either look like normal walls, normal foundations, or the decorative foundations normally located at the bottom of the foundation stack.

  11. Hello,

Just a short simple suggestion. Instead of having a flat hard cap on ships structure limit, instead make it a limit that can be levelled and increased.

There can be a balance in how many structures each level actually allows, taking in to account the loss of levels in other areas.

Being told you've reach the limit, stop building, all your plans stop here... Is a very disappointing feeling. Put in a feature like this, that allows people to go a little bit further, without being excessive and ridiculous. It would also encourage a greater variety in ship designs, as people compromise in damage levels or resistance, in exchange for structures
