Good question actually.   Because in a sailing game wind is used as advantage/disadvantage.

Yeah no stacking more then 1 cannon in a port hole but yeah we will let you stack 20 cannons on the hind end of your ship.

how about putting minimum distances between cannons of any sort?

This is an EA game so many changes to come in the future.  Eventually they will attempt to balance DPS....again....and again!

You can also set them to only for certain targets from the E interaction wheel.

Overall the fleet mechanic is good for the game and it keeps you on your toes!

unfortunate that you ran head on into them but it does happen!

I think increasing the sail speed should be one of the stats for ships!  Make it a small percent of course and a maximum value with a skill at the bottom of the skill tree that adds speed as well!

grapple the animal and mount something f big and see if it can pull it.

i have seen videos of people grappling wild animals and getting yanked all over.

This needs to be reported as a bug!

Just confirmed that animals on ships left for awhile have different claim timers!  Not sure what is going on there but I have started mounting and unmounting my animals as well as ships everyday!  Sort of annoying!

No.  I climbed up and could not find any option.

i should say grappled actually and that was super tricky.

The sotd should have real sails like our ships that we can target the sails to slow them just like happens to us.

Funny I just ran into this the other day!  Granted I was about 100 feet deep but I needed to extend my dock and could not because of this very thing!

Actually the addition of non steam iron hulls would be cool.  Historically it was the next evolution!

In a game like world of warships torpedos are fun and necessary but in a sailing ship game they are completely OP at any design.

Now if the devs are going to add ironclad ships in the future perhaps they should be re-evaluated.

What regions are you sailing in?

i just went through 3 of them and the sotd ships were out of control and high level.

it always happens when I am sailing my galleon also

The game needs a forced upkeep cost for structures like a resource bin if it’s empty near your structures they degrade at an accelerated rate.

this way if someone just puts up a taming cage and doesn’t leave a resource bin near it the cage is gone within 24 hours!
