  1. idk i don't like it but i understand why it is ingame.

    i don't like the limitation in that case.

    it is not only guns

    its ARMOR too

    its TOOLS too

    and its BP's,. because you can not craft anything better if you don't have learned the common thing??? wow wow, i have a BP!!! i should not need to learn it for just crafting,

    using is another thing

     

    weapons:

    so you learn to craft carbines and this cost you 34 points, and another 33 points to get to it, so 67 points for crafting carbines wich includes the limitation thing so you can use up to legendary and the other guns.

    why....

     

    armor:

    you need 41 points (44 points if not unloced construction) just for the shield to use quality up to legendary..

    you need another 18 points to unlock the ability to use the armor up to legendary quality

    and another 11 points for 45% movement penalty wich is a joke

     

    so if you skill only this two trees, not even full, you lose 140 points

    at lvl 50 you only have 266 points

    in early game it sux, and it still sux. once you reach a decent level it does not matter, like always..

    running naked with common carbine, np so i save my points for now, and my movement speed...

     

    so they will rework the trees they said, and i rly hope they change smth in this two trees and the bps usage

    and that's what they try to fix, so you need kinda skill now... and not a shotgun

    so how do you plan to add the new islands, did you leave some space some weeks ago for the new ones or do you move some islands, last one could be a wipe, right?


  4. you know i had a post prepared that the points are to low

     

    2.5 points are to low

    3 or 3.5 points per member is better, to take the bigger islands.

     

    and the gold span is to high 3k gold a day is too high even for megatribes 1,5 k for biggest maybe ok, the smaller ones are ok in upkeep

     

    but i did not post it because i was thinking we can test on the PTR but yeah ... the system was buggy on PTR, you could claim 122 points islands as solo company... then it was reverted in a patch and you lost it

    but next day the server did go live so could not test sh.


  5. i think the only way to play good pvp atm is to group up, but then there would be the same problems Ark has/had.

    so member limit changed to 75 no way to revert without a wipe or whatever, i guess we have to live with it.

    small and medium tribes now have even worse chances as they already had before.

     

    what was so wrong with the small medium idea?

    what has changed?

    ok please read this:

    we never get to 100% balance for everyone, but make the playingfield even for everybody in PvP would be great.

    with two grids this would have been possible.

    one grid with 250+ member cap, no allys

    one grid with -20 member cap, no allys

     

    but 50 with allys was too high.

    where would you wanna go to gank ppl?

     

    right, why play on a 250+ tribe grid and get recked, if you can play on a grid and dominate all others.

     

    lets say the limit is 15, (with invite cooldown after a kick when limit is reached and or the exchanges exceed 3 members/day)

    so ppl know the limit is 15

    now, some ppl wanna play atlas, and they group up with their irl friends, but they are only 4.

    the other group are 9 members, but a lot of boons in their company.

    so it is kinda balanced in a even playing field

     

    another example,

    lets say a company with full members (15) all pros sail the sea with 5 ships

    and another 15 member company all hobby players some pve and no clue, sail with their gally and 2 brigs

    is this balanced for you?

    nope its not.

     

    but it is an even playingfield. you never have 100% balance in some cases not even 1%, but that depends on the situation.

    you never can say whos your next enemy(well sometimes you can :D), but you can defend and maybe survive longer by actions you and your company can take that would NOT have been possible if a megatribe is your current enemy.

     

    a limit is not a bad thing. it keeps ppl on the ground. in this case, atlas, it makes companys vulnerable. takes away the big MOB thing...

     

    my opinion is one grid with 15 member limit with 1 ally, or max 2, with heavy restrictions against abusing, and set in the rulebook.

    and the other grid, same settings, even the flags but no member cap, you will have 2-4 mega companys, in that even the players from the other grids will play.

    the problem was the 50 member limit that is now 75, it should have been 15-20 maximum all the time and the other pvp grid would have lived.

  6. tbh it should be much harder for all the other animals, i mean hard like the elephant taming. it's a walk in the park to get a tame. rhinos elephant and giraffes are perfectly balanced imho.

    the rest is too easy, like bears, it's soooo OP and you all know that, but it's such an easy tame...

    i know what you speaking about, i was there too.

    i found it some time ago on the new grid, let me write you in a few minutes or hours back so i can look, but i found the island, i think it is on L10 top left(maybe L11), but i check then and write back to you

    like i said, in 3 twitter posts, small and mediums have no chance bc 50(75) with allys is too high, it equals a mega tribe.

    i was reading some different intentions from Wildcard beforehand. -->

    Colonies PvP: Freeform building, with more progress-protecting and time-enforced PvP rules creating a cooperative atmosphere, and limits to ensure the game is more oriented towards single players and small to mid-sized groups.

     

    but it seems like this is the way they wanna go.
