Someone on another thread said the ship's on the PTR were programmed to decay after a certain number of hours for testing purposes. Why that would be, remains a mystery

Yes - PTR-NA-PVE. 2nd day in a row, 2nd schooner. Not the only one. Nothing in patch notes acknowledging or fixing.

2 days in row of losing a schooner after logging for the day overnight. Just not there when logging in. Log says, "Ship removed from company"
Ya think there's going to be a riot if that's not fixed? Might want to wait for patch if not.

Yup - Sub can't be crafted on either hanger now. (Please dont destroy my ship again patching this )

Question for this group - Where was your ship parked when you logged out? Anchored? Were any of the ship still in drydock?
@Shadowcub That was happening when loading a pet on a ship before it was patched some time ago. An old bug come back to haunt us?

PTR - NA PVE:
Schooner disappeared with minipatch today. Log says, "Ship removed from company" with a time stamp, Day 3101 15.49.26
ship was launched and anchored in place. Noted new dingy/sub hanger graphics were colliding with dock, but no damage when I logged last night.
I hate rollbacks, but fully outfitting a ship is a bit of a PITA

Could we please get step-by-step instructions on joining the PTR and an approximate time it's going live today?
(I d/l'd the steam beta and it's version 17...so I don't think that's it )

Asking the question for the pvp crowd - don't have an answer:
Considering the diminishing player population issue, could a mix of Empire & Small Clan size servers/zone on the same map be made to work & how?
Different claim rules and?

64. Update preserving bags to only accept food/drink items (so we can use the "transfer all" better).

63. Anchoring - relax depth requirements for anchoring. sometimes can't anchor in shallow water, other times we can. Personally, I like to anchor next to docks. Maybe allow an "anchor zone" near docks regardless of depths?

61. Back to Ballistas - Allow them to see the Alloy required for repairing them in the Ship Resource Box. Currently players have to run back to the resource box & transfer a (heavy) stack of alloy to their inventory, & run back to reapair ballistas.
62. Back to Crews - Crew following needs improvements. They get stuck too easily if out of LoS (even on the top deck). They get lost in ship geometry. especially if their seat is obscured by geometries. Consider a special condition for the whistle command, "ALL Follow Me", when used on a ship to include UNSEATING All crew to within "Low" range of the summoner, regardless where they are in ship, or current follow distance setting. Or creating a similar "All Hands On Deck" option associated with the ship itself and/or a ship structure (the Steering Wheel, Lt. Command Podium, or a new item come to mind).

Agreed. In the meantime, my crew going back to ARK, has memorized "F" is your Friend" as the way to accomplish that.

58. Stop crew moving to different stations when assigned station is unavailable (
59. Fix balista selection to correctly allow "mount balista" as an option, and not "examine inventory". Sometimes this occurs after placing too close to another object/balista (fix - don't allow it to be placed if players won't be able to use it). At other times, the balista "was" working fine, is at full health, and all you can do is view inventory.
60. Don't allow players to place objects (shows as blue) they won't be able to use (should show as orange). A good example is placing a shipyard that destroys a ship when it's first launched. See #59 for balistas. (any others like this?)

57. More on CREW ASSIGNMENTS. - Please ADD multiple station type options (sail, wheel, weapon, etc), even all the station options on the top layer of the selection wheel when assigning crew duties.

55. PLEASE fix the old ARK bug of pets sinking into foundations, or even below ground. They are frequently unrecoverable even after destroying foundations.
56. There's a breeding bug whenthe baby/juvenile/teenager pets progresses to the next size up where the now larger sized youngster bugs into & gets stuck into the surrounding geometry, which is sometimes unrecoverable. Please consider adding some kind collision avvoidance check to the breeding progression process. Might also solve #54 above.

54. Add submarine blueprint to the loot table for dragons, hydras, cyclops and elementals at a minimum, or consider other alternate for regular players to attain the unlock vs. the 1% that will ever defeat the kraken.

53. After the mother of all patches, tie building structure decay rate to number of connected pieces. And/or start stand-alone pillars and foundations with a 15 minute decay rate.

How about a buff like the sextant buff?
Or an assignable task like part of the crew function from the Lt's Deck? Assigned crew could even call out when water is so shallow that ship will take damage....provided the crew member is stationed for that purpose.

- I wish to see st. Elmo's fire before thunderstorms and rainbow after a rain. Falling stars would be nice too.
- What if you find all discoveries in a grid and then you get info about all resources you can find there?

- Add stern, nose and open deck gunport and limit guns placement to just gunports : )

32. Not Little at all - Fix losing pets when loading to ship asap. In many cases they are loading under ship on the sea floor, and then die.
33. Add more bed styles - captains bed and hammocks for starters.
34. Improve Fishing. Add more fish types and turn-ins at Freeports for prize fish. Add treasure maps to fishing loot pool.
35. Add a mounting bolt to ship decks to literally tie pets down to ship decks.

I'm having real trouble getting back to NA-PVE. I'm familiar with how to bounce back and forth from PTR from the last time, but this time I can't get back into the NA-PVE servers.
I turn off beta in steam -nada.
I even uninstalled & reinstalled Atlas. nada.
In either case, it won't connect me to my server, just bounces back. Now, in the Official Live server my only choice refers to the PTR Server, so I try to join a "new" server and get bounced again. Rinse repeat.
It's like the game's lost my character & I'm very concerned my character is wiped now. No way of checking.
UPDATE: I left the Server Timeout dialogue box open for quite awhile and eventually got in game
