Yeah if you read between the lines on this patch note post.  I would conclude it won't be active till the 3rd. 

Meh....whale hunting is easy gold, if you in the right region.  Bring a extra ship just to haul gold back

Huh, I didn't think the ship cap was high enough before they nerfed it.  Now you have to use ridiculous amount of resources to build a shipyard just get get back to the level before the nerf? 

Very Disappointing.  Clearly the investment isn't worth the reward in this instance.

I see nothing wrong with drawing a line in the sand for a game.   Besides everyone quits games for one reason or another at some point.  Perhaps every gamer has a emo moment when they finally realize a game is junk and move on.  Maybe?   lol

It's been a known fact for awhile now that speed sails are the best way to go period.  Until sails are fixed or re-balanced, whatever you want to call it.

Hmm....to be someone's serf on someone else's island or deal with the bad mechanics for lawless.   It's a tough decision.....

It's too bad there isn't a third option or better game design.

Just quit the game now....cause I'm sure there will be a wipe at some point.

Well you must have gone at the right time or after a group that cleared it.  Cause when my group of 3 did it pre-wipe with about 20-30 others running about we ran into all kinds of bad stuff from lions to fire elementals.  It was silly cause the lead guy running would grab aggro and that's the only way we got past.

If the intention of this event is to die 100 times trying to run a gauntlet of mobs, it just might be the worst designed event I have ever seen in a game.

With most of the content in this game designed for large groups what do you expect?

This is a alpha development at best, not even close to a beta at all.   The best work around for most those bugs is to close game out, uninstall and wait a year or deal with the problems till you rage quit and uninstall anyways. 

Relax, Everything is working as intended or you could use the excuse that its early access, depends what fanboy you are.   However don't ever think that grapedrank made a mistake that's heresy on these forums.   I prefer the classic jedi mind trick, "These aren't the bugs and design flaws your looking for..."

I think there won't be any problems with finding a island with the new system.  The player base will be so small by the time they get it done that there will be plenty of room for everyone.

Yeah, I get that..... I was being sarcastic.  I played Ark for a few thousand hours myself (Nobody like the spam).  But the reality is that pillar spam will happen in this new wiped version of the game as it already did in the lawless areas.   And if I return (Still deciding) after the wipe I'll be spamming the blocks to secure my build area and the resources on the island just like I did before( I lived in Lawless Region).  You just can't decide to not do it unfortunately, because the Chinese will come and build walls and griefer's will just wreck everything.  So you will be forced to spam just for the sake of making your place in the game enjoyable.

Well just spam the island with pillars and foundations and the likes.  It's not like everyone doesn't think this is a Ark pirate mod anyways.  So start thinking like a Ark player and spam those pillars.         (GOD FORBID ANYTHING BE BETTER THAN ARK)

I think the damage has already been done to the player base.   A good portion of players probably wont revisit this game till it's closer to release or after launch.   Unfortunately the honey moon is over with this game and allot are moving on. 

I wouldn't worry about getting land, there should be plenty.  With the addition on new islands and 2/3 the player base leaving, there should be plenty of room.

So relax and be happy, everyone wins!

I'm actually thinking it will probably the first or second week of April, regardless of what is posted anywhere.  If they do it right and even run a test server for a week and then spend a week analyzing the info gathered...it will be at least another two weeks to make changes or completely scrap their ideas cause they sucked.  So my prediction is first half of April.

I disagree I think allot of people think this dev team is incompetent.  And asking about a set date for a wipe from a team that cannot keep any dates is fruitless.  But hey thanks for your worthless opinion about my worthless opinion.  Cheers...

Asking for a actual wipe date from this dev team is pointless.  They have never been on time for anything in the past and every date they have ever set has been changed.  After seeing their streams its quite clear they are not very organized or professional.  Its kinda like a bunch of kids at recess, so I would treat it as such.  Just play something else till they wipe like the rest of us.
