Just to add to those people who always cite mmo = not single player : don't talk crap. Some of my happiest gaming moments ( not all) have been solo playing while guild mates are offline. EQ2, WoW, Lotro. All mmo's that in no way required you to group if you didn't want to. Original Planetside was heavily team based but had excellent opportunities for solo play.). I can safely say that the group of people that I've been hanging with for 15 years will agree So to agree with an earlier post mmo is for lots of people. But not primarily group play. So if you're sick of solos complaining, just remember these guys want to do it on their own. Easy to be critical when you gave up and joined a big group. Rant over As for the griefing I don't know. A system where honour or dishonour could be used I guess. So if you take place in a large scale raid and take lives and ships, you get some sort of social standing, be you pirate or loyalist. Would need factional suppliers with goodies to provide the motivation. But you offline raid and destroy stuff in your underpants you earn scumbag points. The more you do it, the less your factions will want to deal with you until eventually no one will touch you, not even Freeports. Could have guards at Freeports to drive these scumbags off. So their only option for spawning safely would be lawless areas. Could even possibly have redemption quest lines so if you were an asshole, you could approach a Freeport with stuff to try and bring your factional standings back up to basic Freeport status. Like a new start. But the quest should not be easy. Should be a pain in the balls

Look. Enough is enough. After all the bad patches and code, im slightly vexed that after a patch yesterday, im continually being spawned in under base floors. I cant log out on boat because extreme weather makes me super ill when im offline, enabling vultures to glitch through the hull and murder me. I cant log in base now because ill spawn under floor and have to punch myself to death. Im 100 years old dammit. I don't need this crap at my time of life. do us all a favour: take the work experience kid/chimp off the coding. This is Ark code ffs. How can you keep screwing it up so badly? (inb4 the obligatory fanboys/girls/etc : I know its early access. was beta testing before the early access scam ever reared its ugly head. Over 16 years with various games. But this is basic stuff. Spawn in is the first thing people see. Like trying to sell a bloody car when the door wont even open to let the customer test drive. Excuse my saltiness)

So whats the deal with crocs attacking sloops and getting on board? Im yet to see multiple counts of youtube footage of crocs getting on sloops, let alone killing everything on board. And then camping the sloop for over an hour {so far} and still waiting for player respawn. Whats the deal with animal Ai? Currently 10 metres of beach occupied by crocs x 3, wolf x1, giant snakes x 3, rattlesnake x 1. None of them hostile to the other? Any plans on paying someone who knows animal behaviour to give you some ideas? Finally, general animal AI spawns: We're in I10, on a small island. Animals everywhere. Im not kidding. Everywhere. Go to big island. Decent balanced coverage of fauna. Sensible. Not so on small islands. Any plans to address this in the future? In before the haters: I got plenty of hours in Ark and still rent a server. Love the game. Love this game. But sort the bloody animal AI out for gods sake. Especially sloop spawn camping crocs and giant snakes warping through rocks. Otherwise, great effort, and im glad I bought the game despite the negative reviews.
