Today and last night I did a long sail and knocked out all the discovery points in the D3, D4, and the E3 zones. After taking an hour break i logged back in to find that none of those points were in my log any longer, and the map shows record of me being to all the islands, but the island name text and locations no longer appear. It has felt like this has happened prior on my character but with all the point reset and recalculation during the patches it's hard to confirm it happening prior for sure.
Everything else done in those zones, the gold, ship changes, schematics, materials gathered etc, remains on the ship, and it is docked in the same location we dropped anchor. Only the discovery points have changed. Taking a pretty taxing and incredibly time consuming game mechanic to a game breaking level. Spend hours trying to get up to the next level cap only to find all of that completely undone again.
This is on the PVE NA Server, and the playtime was from 8pm est to 3am est. All locations were accounted for prior to a re-log. All the information I have.
