Crew limit needs to be counted only for company and alliances on the ship.

Then ppl outside of our company and aliance will just hop in for a free ride, that way even a raft could transport like 20 ppl on lvl 1. The crew limit transfer into weight limit have that exact exploit in mind.

    If I understand correctly, it's base tame * 2 + 30.

So for example, you find a lvl 30 and start taming.  At the bottom left it will say +15.  IF you manage a perfect tame, you'll end up with a lvl 45 (30+15) base tame.  45 * 2 + 30 = 120

Therefore, max level of a tame is 120.  Still not an alpha but not horrible.

Now that's how it was explained to me.  Dunno if this is correct or not.

My highest tame is currently lvl 55 so he's not high enough for me to confirm this yet.

Though max lvl animal is 30 outside of power stone islands and alphas.

Btw, six million vulture buddies asemble. Ppl should start making some kind of meme pictures, would make some fun out of all this radiculousness.

Cliff platforms ftw! We use these also.

Btw, is that possible to make a stable or something above ground like on those platforms or by making supports and placing a room 1-2 lvls above ground? or will those animals just glitch thro the ground an die from fall dmg/wolves? Just was thinking about having a crow and a horse/wolf but those things keep spawning inside our house almost every day and that's just a matter of time when another wolf happen to greet us in a door way (sleeping on a ship since the day that died froma  wolf inside our smithy).

Ya, go ahead and cut the solo's throat just a bit more.

First of all, I don't think you understand just how small a claim area actually is.  If large numbers of claims weren't made with the intent of protecting resources, you'd have people dropping claims and single foundations with a bed in the middle of island just to prevent resources from spawning thus griefing those that do live by the shore (oh wait, they're already doing that on lawless... hmmmm).  Furthermore, you'd have companies claiming the centers of islands with no intent of even living on those islands, just to tax the resources of those who do live there.  What makes you think everyone wants to do treasures/floatsam?  I do not. So now you want me to take time out of what I do enjoy, subject me to SotD or AotD, and force me into gold farming  just to maintain my claim?  Sorry, but there's just too many opportunities to grief with your proposed system.

Now, if I could sell the resources I collect for gold to pay for claims, I'd do  that.  But one BLATANT thing you've left out of your list of problems is trading.  Tossing shit on the ground and hoping the other player does the same is not trading.

Agree that the gold cost for claims is bs. However, claims being small?, somehow with 2 flags never ran out of space, got so much space that propably 2 more ppl could fit into 1 flag, let alone into 2 of them, the sizes are fine, they give enough to build and have some personal space arround.

I like this system. If people want to use better gear they need to specalize into it. If anything the game needs more things similar to that to make each player unique and different.

Then where is market for buying that high tier gear?, if we have to spec into armor or whatever just to be able to wear that armor... might aswell just craft them by self insteed of puchasing.

One other point I'd like to make...  The GM and Forum Moderators are not the Developers!  At best they are the interface between us and the Devs.

Getting mad at the Devs and taking it out on the forum staff is not the way to deal with game problems.  As with reporting alleged "hackers" and "griefers", Screen shots and/or clips with time and date stamps are the best evidence to prove there is a problem.  Even then Devs probably have to find time to work on bugs between scheduled tasks, unless there is a dedicated department for bugs... It does happen in rare cases.

Jat is a lead community manager or something like that, however from what noticed, 3/4 of the time he is offline and all he visits is few bug reports then back offline, he doesn't check suggestions or other parts of the forum like here where like 1/3 of posts is about infuirating animals. Propably doesn't even check all the bug reports.

  7. Ok, today checked it. Never try doing anything on those islans unless being a mega with 100+ ppl. Cyclopses and wolves everywhere on shores ranging from 60-120 lvl, mostly the higher and atleast 1 cyclops per meter. They have gigantic amounts of hp, they don't regen but they can take like 20-30 headshots like a champ from a flintlock. Did not test how fast they respawn but don't think there's a point anyways, why even treasure maps lead to those places if the island monsters there are like 20x stronger each than the entire group of undead combined.

Great Googly Moogly, what kind of trash idea is this?

Backing up a bit, I went Artillery/Gun spec with full intelligence to see if we could eke out a few more % damage for our defensive cannons/swivels/mortars.     Then a company member remembered we had some hide/fur/plate blueprints with +intelligence bonuses on them.    We'd never bothered crafting them before but hey, maybe they'd finally have a purpose!

...and that's when I found out, I can't wear anything but the basic, non blueprint gear unless I have the armor skill unlocked.     What kind of nonsensical BS is this?    It means if you want to be an intellect crafter for any profession, you have to tick off the armor skills no matter what?     And apparently you can't use gun blueprints in a similar fashion?

But on the other hand, ships+cannons and other blueprints are A-OK whether you have the skill or not?

Yeah, similar topic was here on forum like 2 weeks ago or something...

Woke up in my little hovel and found I was surrounded by 3 wolves.  Rude awakening!  When will spawns be fixed to not work in a building with floors, walls, ceilings and roofs?

Today had 2 or 3 horses inside, most of the itme those are horses... but once woke up dead bcs a wolf spawned inside our smithy next to the bed.

I have taming up to tier 3 but won't bother to tame anything until doing so is worth the effort. You'd think it would be better to respec and spend all those points elsewhere, but the other skill trees aren't worth it either. Cooking, Farming, Melee, Armour, all useless. I have flintlock pistols for the fun of it but Fire Arrows are better, so there's no point in putting more points into that skill either.

Not just fire arrows, just arrows with all 3 dmg perks are better than flintlocks, that's so much better to stick 10 arrows that deal 75% of the dmg of a bullet than reloading for 10 seconds. We choose the 750% vs 100% + is sooo much cheaper.

They've said this game isn't supposed to focus on the animals. Cut the spawn rate and max population in half. Would help out the servers too.

Would say, a 80% cut spawn ratio would be good point. But not or all islands, not sure why, but some islands have 3 wolves per minute (our island), but literaly the same grid but neighbour island have barely any predators, still more than temperate or dessert maps we visited but something like 1 predator every 3 minutes. Reduction of animal spawn rate also would make so meat is less common and so taming would be needed for sustained food income on ovepopulated islands, since right now... we throw 3/4 of meat we get or we just don't gather half of wolves we kill... and we don't even eat passie animals, we literaly have enough food to feed self from 1/4 of wolves that spawn.

  12. Got a journeyman quality power stone treasure map. Wonder, how hard would that be for a solo?, the map leads to a shore so no deep venturing into suicide squad o alpha everything, however still propably would need to clear surroundings for a fight. Also could beat a journeyman quality map solo... + that is maybe boosted in difficulty from being power stone dunno?, can do fine maps just "fine" (lol), however, not doing them bcs of walls of SoDs everywhere and the fact that fine maps usualy are located in those easy warm climates where 60-100 ppl live and cause massive 200+ ping lag. So, how much harder journeyman maps are than fine maps? Headshot deals 130 dmg to a wolf rom our bow and we also have all 60% dmg bonus to AotD from piracy tree, heashot to a boss undead with that mace deals 72 dmg from that bow and 202 from flintlock.

Anyone know why you can't smelt pure metal into ingots? I know there is specific metal like copper and iron, but I'm referring to the base metal.

    "Metal / Resource - Metal"

Can't use default resources for blueprints or in this case for smelting. The default resources are from freeports or from demolishing.

Took us about 60 bolts, but we missed quite a few. Maybe 30 minutes to kill and harvest? Mostly maneuvering to get shots in without getting hit. Took a long time to find the damn thing though. See them everywhere until you actually want one. It was blue whale, haven't tried mean whale yet.

Don't know in what way they are different, all whales that seen... looked "whaly". And 30 minutes to kill, 60 bolts x 16 iron?, dodging?, well, guess not gonna take our schooner or a spin if we have to dodge an instakill, especialy that there's 30-50 SoDs in every grid surrounding islands so where to hide..., will just wait for one to go land mode and will stick into it few hundret of arrows.

Indeed, ballista is for farming whales. Took one down with two ballista on a sloop. 1400 gold in whale's inventory. Pay for my two brig's crews for a couple days.

Really..., is that realy so easy to kill a whale? how many bolts and how fast it went down?, would want to get a bunch of bolts and just respec bcs that perk is a total waste of 14 points otherwise.

Worms, they are pretty easy with the Plunder Talent!

They eat worms? ok..., well, that's a bit of investment to grab that digging perk... just for worms.
