Well, the majority of their customers are casuals who dont want to play in the mega tribes devs are dreaming about. They are just normal people with a job and a family. These just want to have a few hours pirate fun in the evening.

But what they receive is a destroyed base, sunk/stolen ships and chinese with aimbots in duped mastercraft metal armor.

Of course they leave, why stay in a game just made for 24/7 boys dreaming of global dominance ?

If they add traps into the game, please tell us thou wilt cover entire island, we miss thy stories of mortaring megas.

  2. The game lacks base defenses other than spamming walls and few mortars on top, nothing against land invasion or animals (such as predators or yetis). Having few in mind:

    1. Spikes, there would be wooden and metal spikes, wooden could be burnt with oil and fire arrows, metal would require siege machines. Spikes could be covered with thatch platforms by invaders to get past without taking damage but those platforms could be burnt by defenders. Spikes would deal moderate damage, metal spikes would deal high damage.

    2. Trip traps, there would be a wooden log or boulder few tiles above the ground where trip line is placed. Once stepped on, those would fall on the victim, can't neutralize them without activation but the line can be shot at to break. Log would deal high damage and boulder would deal huge damage (something like balista?).

    3. Shotgun traps, those would be just tripwires connected to either blunderbusses or swivels with grape shots, they would need to be reloaded manualy after each activation, weapons would deal as much damage as when used manualy. Disarming would be the same as trip traps.

    4. Deadfall traps. They would be either wooden, stone or metal. Wooden ones could be destroyed with fire. Wooden would deal moderate, stone and metal high with metal dealing slightly higher and applying bleeding.

    5. Drawbridge, just so players could build it over the spike fields.

Now for the "siege mechanics". It would just be one, the ram. It could have swivel gun slots on sides. Would be very durable but suspectble to fire. Primary use would be to give protection to players inside, have high structure damage and of course be a mobile altilery platform bcs of swivels.

It would be a good step in the right direction. Before the patch it also used to be easier to get head shots on animals too, but that has changed, and I understand why. That was a reasonable change. I get that they want to make this game feel like your surviving, but it feels like its too much. I get that this is their game, and they have a vision for what they want it to be, but sometimes the dev's may need to make adjustments the players have been loudly asking for.

There are animals that don't even have a head hitbox.

None of this Skills is working atm... I'm sorry, but I find it hard to believe you, if you have not noticed.

Doesn't matter if belive but we are playing with only bows since they nerfed guns and doing well. The perks work. The blueprint also works.

Also, don't take it that we adore the flame arrows nerf, we never used them but we wanted them to become more skillful, a different change that doesn't take damage or other QoL stuff but they prefered to just change few numbers.

Yes. Usually our group splits up in teams of 2 to get some journeyman treasures with the bows. But now we even got a little bit of trouble getting them. Which is in my opinion not the worst, but 15 arrows per repair.. ridiculous.

Can solo any kind of map with 116% dmg bow and all 3 dmg perks. Well, atleast up to journeyman. Also having all 3 perks in piracy for 60% dmg. Aim for the head and when big guy is about to slam the ground, run past him. Fire arrows were never needed for anything outside of radiculously tanky alphas and mythical creatures and even then, those things are killable with just stone arrows.

  6. Right now alpha animals are just artificialy boosted piles of fur, scales or feathers with a hard to notice from long distances aura inside them. Forgetting the part they are just plain annoying as they get in the way as they spawn in places where ppl live and build but what about replacing them with an actual enemy that could fit the lore like army of the damned minions and with an actual loot insteed of ton of meat that only megas can eat and a ton of other resources that could be gathered easier and faster from their normal equivalents.

  7. Their speed would be fine if they were not literaly everywhere, just 2 hours ago teleported with fully loaded sloop into one, barely made it by going back to previous grid with 1/5 hp sinking ship. But don't worry, devs won't reduce anything about them anymore, on the stream they laughed off the border camping and walls an joked they could just add an alpha SoD. What they gonna do is add 1 barely smaller SoD and 1 2x bigger SoD.

    also, nasa uses metric

Maybe, not sure, heard they had once a problem bcs the translation from metric to imperial (or reverse) was wrong and something happened, maybe after that they changed. (Yep, just checked, they lost a probe, now they use metric to cooperate easier)

A wise man once said, "There are countries that use the metric system, and there are countries that have landed a man on the moon."

Spoilers, Russia was first to space, after first landing on the moon tho there was no point in doing so again, it was a cold war, flexing whoever does something first, nothing else, many countries could now just make a pointless program to launch and rip that flag out.

black butterfly hacked an admin pass again, spawning whales/dragons droping temps to below -99999celcius what ever celcius means

Or whatever fahrenheit means. Only thy country uses imperial and other old measures.

I have my bed in my sloop but when I die I dont have the option to respawn in my bed. Only three options: Respawn Home Region, Create New Pathfinder, Change Home Server.

Each time you have to start again in you home freeport or in a new one. This is insane.

    Anyone can help?

    Thanks

So basically, they've killed the game?

I can't believe how dumb the devs are.. I tried to warn them several times about this stupid mechanic, and here they are going ahead with it...

There are ppl who got inside and looked naked so maybe there is some naked strat to run in, bcs for fighting cyclopses and other monsters there... don't b other without 10-20 balistas.

It has nothing to do with v15 nor does it require an update.

The last I heard was it was meant to be active as of 8am EST, but maybe it hasn't happened yet.

Launch the game, press join new atlas, look above.

Really should wait for the whole system before you add penalties for not participating in the system.

Would you add SOTD five patches before you add cannons?

From what I have heard the islands take something like a dozen players with artillery etc

They do, cyclopses take massive extra damage into the head, but they are so incredibly tanky that they need propably like 50+ such shoots to take down, not to mention the high 120 lvl ones and the fact there's like 1 per meter so the entire islan is just covered with them.

Jep, might as well. I read wolves are getting a nerf in HP and damage as well. I don't see the need for it, they already die quite easily if you are not careful. I actually tamed two very nice high level wolves last night. And now they are about to be nerfed into ground. Seems @Jatheish is just out to chase tamers away from this game. The breeding system is already horrible as well.

I was lured in by the taming skilltree being added. If I knew it would just get marginalized and marginalized I wouldn't have bought this game.

And what kind of stuff do we get as an alternative?

    I) A stupid debuff when our characters reach 90 (they already age rediculously fast) so we are forced to do a boring Fountain of Youth quest. I am not playing this game for the questing but to build and tame. I have plenty of other games in which I can go "quest". If anything I would rather see this aging thing removed. It's just a blatant rip off from Chronicles of Elyria which was superficially glued to  some random Ark assets.

II) Being forced to sail from grid to grid exploring identical island for 50 extra levels. I feel very inspired now to explore a world that looks mostly the same just to get more skillpoints to invest in worthless skill lines.

This game already has a 67% negative review score on Steam, I don't see that improving,

We love the wolf nerf, they can be nerfed into having 1 hp as much as we care. However they buffed tames by adding 50% more damage resistance, don't understand why is that so bad, thy tame wilt not die now from a single bite of an alpha atleast.

If it is a single location, it should be accessed frequently by the larger companies... go in when they go in

There are 8 islands, it gonna teleport before will reach any of those places unless that's D12. And we also have to pray someone is actualy there with 10-20 balistas constantly bombarding those living tanks.
