  1. So my server, I had turned the resource respawns to really, really fast. I mean when we run back the wood from trees, by the time we get back from the base, they are respawned. However, since the server was updated to 8.56, I no longer have anything respawning. I have verified the settings file hasn't changed.

    1) Have you guys seen the same thing?

    2) Any ideas how to fix this?

I even just redownload my editor from github. And I saw that the last edit day was 3 days ago. So I think I got the newest version also.

But just don't know why only I cannot control the spawn rate. I can control the damned ship level but just cannot control the spawn rate. It is a really strange issue.

Do you have ship paths on the map? Ship of the damned are currently turned on by default to spawn without ship paths.

This does not help when changes are needed after all the grids are up and running. I have a solution now. I wrote a tool to push updated inis to all my servers at once.

Cool, glad you made a tool to make it easier. Whenever I want to make a change to my 6, I download the correct .ini, make the changes, then just reupload the edited .ini to all 6 servers, normally using a ftp program to make it a lot easier/faster. I can see having a lot more servers how much of a pain this could be.

it worked!!! 🙂  Actually I have been with Nitrado for years and their customer service has always been awesome. I have tried other companies at the suggestion of other people and I dumped them. If you are basing that opinion on  Atlas, dont. This is a huge project and the installations are complicated and people like us they screw up their stuff then need help arent helping them get everyones servers online..LOL. Normally when you need help they are right on it. This is the first time I have ever had to wait.

I have been with Nitrado for 4 years. Never had to file a ticket with them until now, so have no idea how their CS normally is.

thx.. yeah apparently you are supposed to edit the config one not the default one in the editor..I think thats what broke mine. I guess that how you learn.. by screwing stuff up..LOL. I just uploaded a new one using the config file so hopefully it works!!!! at least if i mess it up they are redoing them anyways..LOL

LOL, I wiped 4 times the first week we opened. I made a LOT of mistakes, a LOT of learning experiences. Still waiting for Nitrado to help me resolve 1 of them, I have a useless server for a week now, they are charging me for, but can't add Atlas back to it. Kind of tired of it actually. Their CS sucks.

  6. Has anyone figured out how to change the mutiny timer and possibly even the crew cost for private servers? Changing dino decay didn't help. The problem I am seeing is they will mutiny on my server after 3 hours of not being paid. Since I do not live in the game, this is not currently possible, LOL. The cost thing is debatable, and don't truly care about it.

I am on Nitrado.. the issue I am having is after i edited the map... the islands arent there in game. they are on the map.. but when you get to where they should be .. they arent there. Everything else is working fine now.

I also use Nitrado. I found I had to edit all the server ports on the map for the islands to be visible in game. We sailed there, and no islands appeared. Nitrado says you don't have to mess with the ports, they do it automatically, however, I have yet to have it work without messing with the ports.

On Nitrado, I used 27000 for seamless, 57555 and 5755 for game ports.

They need a more centralized place for stuff like this. I am about to spin up 225 grids (Still setting p my infrastructure to make it easier on life and play with being able to spin grids up on demand), and having to change this on every one if I wanted to is not the greatest option. I can set it up in Notepad++ and then copy/paste, sure, but that's still 255 times I have to take care of the same thing. It is like... the worst violation of DRY for coding.

Edit: I'm not saying they should necessarily change the way it's done now, as people are used to it from ARK, but we need an alternative for large grids that allows the servers involved to pull from one central place.

You could change your .ini files before you start uploading the server, so it is just copying the files over, instead of going into them.
