Have you seen the HMS Victory?   And that wasn't even the biggest 1st rate in the Royal Navy, let alone on the seas.

No but it had 84 guns, 42 on a side.  The bottom deck had 48lb cannons.  That means they fired 48lb cannonballs... Each gun was around a ton.  This doesn't include the 64lb carronades on the back.  Or the 800+ souls on board.

The souls of salty players crying to the sight of your ship?

Most of the people posting these topics play PVE, you hardly ever get bored sailing on PvP, nor is there any land issues 😉

I rember when I started playing this game, I was looking for gems hopping from server to server. Came onto an island, they had bears with cannons shooting at me as soon as I set anchor on this island, I ran and almost died. I was sweaty and hard with a racing heartbeat.

boring , sick of seeing this reply when player post about thatch not everyone has those plants close , so stop with the bear go farm dead leaf patches ,

we need a dedicated thatch animal either giraffe or male bull , would be ideal for this ...

the weight added to anmals instead of weight reduction , was to stop players lading them with 10s of thousands of weight an placing them on boats where the weight didnt affect the boats speed ,

Or grab 6 picks and an elephant and farm 40k+ per hour on non 2x days?

They have already made the weight 2x the weight of a cannon in a gun port with the gun port closed. That is plenty.

I can just see them making the weight 4x and sinking a bunch of ships. Really stupid.

Now if they would give all ships 2x the weight capacity, then I wouldn't care 🙂

What's stupid is how powerful and how many cannons you can actually put on a ship

@Jatheish Do you guys really allow this type of paid 3rd party software to be used in your game to constantly track people and gather their personal information. Do you and your team not consider this to be borderline cheating? What is the difference between this guy making his own tracking software to give him the edge over his enemy's and others making their own software to have ESP to see through walls?

    Long range ESP

  6. Take a chronometer and time the time it takes for you to fill oxygen/hp in normal vs tame circumstances (lol).

seriously though, would be great if we actually had a chart from the devs on the wiki or if we could see the effects of the buff. Even food buffs dont really gove you specifics

  7. Cannons are incredibly light at the moment, I can fit 20+ large cannons I want on a schooner and still have plenty of weight for ammo and being stupid fast/nimble. I would love to see the current cannons made extremely heavy x3-4 the weight - make them blockade or true siege weapons and add lighter cannons for quick pursuit/merchant defense/harass ship setups.

this would actually force players to think their setups rather than just make gun bricks.

weight distribution management on ships would also be an amazing feature, where having too much uneven weight would make you turn poorly in a specific direction or even sink you even if you’re not over your global cargo limit.

  8. There is such a disbalance between siege weaponry (cannons) bps damage increase vs defensive structure bps (planks, walls...) that it litterally makes no sense to make legendary/mythical structures. A 150-160% cannon (journeyman cannon) and the highest structure i’ve see was something like 160% wood wall, planks at like 140% (legendary/mythical), even with upgraded planks, someone could still easily take it would with a broadside if they have concentrated firepower.

I wouldnt mind seeing journeyman+ structures actually being worth building where instead of 4 large cannonballs taking you down it would take 12+

It would actually make it more expensive for raiders to just swing by and raid someone’s base, they would actually need to think their strategies through and invest time and resources in attacking bases.

  9. Some sort of card table that could sit 6-8 NPCs, you feed it ale and it maintains NPCs when they are not needed. Instead of paying them gold, you feed them ale while they play cards and it keeps NPC cost idle during active company periods (manually put them on table).

Would also be cool if NPCs had a reduced gold consumption if you put refined foods in the larder (5% redux for level 1 foods, 7.5% per level 2... up to a max of like 50%

  10. We took on over 100 level 150 snakes on a powerstone island with the infinite spawners with 1 bear, idk why you’re on the forums over dying to an alpha lion.

bears with swivels, even without swivels are quite overpowered for mapping regardless.

  11. Dont build by the coast if you dont want to invest in gold-fetching to maintain latge defence crews. Build high on mountains or far inland. Most raiders wont bother to raid something they cannot reach with a boat.

Generally you get raided inland if people hold a grudge against you or want to clear you to control the land you are on.

a good way to keep a chunk of land that keeps your base from mortar attacks is to make small puckle shacks forcing players to destroy infrastructure just to advance to offensive positions.
