  1. I was nowhere near the wall. And, why is this an issue in the first place? Walls are there to stop people accessing you while you're offline. Please actually read my original post.
  2. NA PVP, M5. I last played about 5 hours ago and logged out in my house. My house is small but secure, with the only way in being a single door. There is an slightly open tile at the rear, but attempting to get in or out through this is impossible because there is a large rock in the way. I just logged in now to find that my full inventory was gone as though someone had looted my body while I slept, but didn't kill me. I made very sure my door was closed before logging off earlier as it was laggy at the time, and there is no damage to my house at all. There were also a number of players with squares in their name flaming other players when I logged in just now. Really doesn't add up to a good result.
  3. Thanks for the advice, I'm guessing because they are 'long' they're unable to turn unless they have more than a certain width. I'll give this a try
  4. For the past 3 days my gameplay pattern has been the following: open the game, gear up to go tame a tiger, find a tiger, die to it, then spend the next 30 minutes repeatedly doing corpse runs so I don't lose my inventory because the tiger is still spawncamping me. I will often have to run past my corpse, aggroing the animal and dragging it away from my initial death location then allowing it to kill me, to get back at my original corpse. This also includes stopping at my original corpse occasionally to grab my items so that they don't decay before I'm finally able to safely pick them up. The game is completely unenjoyable for me at present because I'm effectively unable to use tier 3 beastmastery. A combination of high latency (I am playing on US servers which are closest to where I live), broken hitboxes (animals will often not take damage despite having arrows sticking out of them), poor optimization leading to bad framerates in outdoor areas, and these fast, aggressive animals often making ridiculous jumps and teleporting through or towards you makes trying to tame them impossible. I haven't even started on how buggy the bola is to use, and will often take several seconds to swap to from my bow, then several seconds to wind up before I'm able to throw. At this point, the tiger has already killed me. I haven't even mentioned giant snakes, which similarly have broken hitboxes and an absurd tranquilizer effect making them similarly difficult to escape from while they decide to spawn camp you. I have no issues with either of these being in the game so long as they're fair to play against. I don't mind dying either if I screw up, but being unable to land shots on the tigers specifically when I am doing everything that I should be doing is really turning me off playing. Also, can bears be tamed with syrup or only honey?
  5. You need quite a few more shots to kill wild animals with a bow if half the shots don't register. I've spent at least an hour over the past two days doing corpse runs while repeatedly dying to and being spawncamped by tigers, lions or giants snakes. Before my most recent initial death, I was fighting a low level tiger that had probably 5 arrows sticking out of it, yet had only registered 1 instance of damage. This lack of hit reg along with the extremely low FPS in outdoor areas makes fighting (let alone taming) these animals near impossible. I have a powerful PC, so unless I'm missing some trick that I can perform with the settings or with config files I don't see what I'm doing wrong.
  6. See my thread here: I heard from someone ingame that having the map in your hotbar is supposed to create a large red beam when you approach it, similar to the corpse marker, yet I've seen none of these ingame, let alone the islands the treasure is supposedly on. Steps to reproduce: 1. Find treasure map 2. Sail to the grid square where the map says the treasure is located 3. Explore the area to find islands 4. Compare the islands you found to the online map viewer to work out where the treasure island should be 5. Sail to where the treasure island should be, but then find there is nothing there
  7. I noticed this too, but see the example in my OP. I probably should have taken a screenshot of the treasure map, but the island simply isn't there. In the case of the second screenshot, based on the online map, the only island in that region with that shape should have been where I was exploring, yet there wasn't anything to see.
  8. Another example, I just took this screenshot in C7 but two islands seem to be missing. What's going on?
  9. I've taken to following treasure maps that I find in bottles. I spent about 2 hours today looking for an Island in B7 today on NA PVE which doesn't seem to be there, yet it is visible ingame - see my attached image. I was unable to see anything on the horizon that looked like this island. The treasure map I was following said that the treasure was in B7, yet I was unable to see anything on the horizon, let alone a red beam. I'm now in C7 and a similar thing is happening. Is this a bug and the islands are really in adjacent grid squares?
