Just tried to do it. Still gives me the same response. Wonder if it was the most recent patch messed something up?

Do you know if you select Join New Atlas but choose the same server and roughly the same area if you'll log in to your initial character (mine was killed by vultures.. so i'm already dead waiting to respawn) or if it creates a new character?

Went to log in today after getting off work early. Took a second the first time to get in, when I got into my shock (sarcasm) I was killed by a vulture after logging off in the middle of my 3x15 fully enclosed house? Uh, getting tired of this. But managed to get in for about 2 min then lagged out. Now, upon trying to get back in I am receiving the "Unable to fetch current server info to join!".... Is the (U.S) PvE server down or is it just me? Since the first day of launch this is the first time i'm having an issue trying to log in after leaving the freeport starting area..... Please for the love of all things good, fix the issue with Vultures killing me and my crew while INSIDE my house.....
