  1. I am pretty certain they could adjust how far away resources/wildlife can spawn from both structures and players. Though, since they had that spawning glitch earlier that took them a  few days to fix, I don't know what they had to do to fix it.  If resources  are set to not spawn close nough  you end up with permanently stripped land. Far as beasts, they could set them to spawn further but, with the amount of builds, do you want to risk not having any beasts to spawn and tame or gather food from?  I do agree maybe just reducing the agro radius would help with a lot of problems, anyway.

     

    I am sure they will be juggling with all of that throughout the development.


  2. If you can not do the time, don't do the crime.. erm.. I mean, If you can not afford, collect enough gold to keep up your crew.. maybe you need to downgrade 😞  but, again. If it was super easy to get crew/gold .. then idk.. game goes directly to EZ mode.. and I for one would rather not see yet another EZ mode game its getting easier by the patch, as it is... lol   but, am biased there so don't mind me.


  3. They are not there to fight your battles for you, over all.. just to support you?  Remember, there is a lot of room for changing in the game and time to do it, it is still early early.

    If you have a good suggestion that would not aim at EZ mode play  and keep it as something you have to work for  some, Suggestion tab it is your friend. As far as loot boxes and stuff, those are easy to change what items drop, Again it is early early..  When there is more content to spread the wealth with and up the game, maybe there will be access to more items?  Again, Suggestion tab. lol   Just my opinion of course!


  4. Many creative thinkers in this forum, lots of ideas for new content and possible ways to change content that may not be working out well.

    Thank you to the Devs for addressing , not only game breaking exploits/glitches and bugs  but, keeping half eye on what players have to suggest, what's bugging them.

    Even if you can not get to everything, everywhere ASAP.

  5. Yeah, I don't like the idea of an Auction House, Maybe Trade post. Auction Houses (like in wow) bring a ton of problems with it.. and I think most of you who have played games with  player driven auction houses, know what I am talking about. This set up posted here isn't too bad.  I still like the company driven Trade Post (they can set up at their Company owned land/port that links to a Company Bank, better.  I am not sure what the already re opened Trade ships have on them, though 🙂  or what more the npc's are selling , now.

    Do know that a lot of people seem to want a wider range of npc interaction in the homeports to make it feel like a "living city" but, not sure how quickly they want to add stuff in while they are still working on bigger issues. lol.


  6. People survive it all the time but, yeah. That happens a lot of times.  I don't know if it is because those ghost ships were chasing someone else then lost aggro and just start  patrolling  and end up gathered near one side or other  or something else.  Shore ones are being changed, will that change the gradual behavior of ones near the edges of a server or are those set to do so like that in the first place?

    I do know it is not the case of players dragging them there on purpose, it happens on Unofficial servers that are set to private as well. 🙂 though since they reduced the agro radius of the Ships of the Damned, it isn't impossible to pop in, see them, facepalm, turn and hug the line or go back through the curtain, move down and re enter. lol

    AS well, the Ships of the Damned have a  slow, wide turn radius, so charging straight the opposite direction they are traveling, when you can, makes them drop off, pretty quickly because you are out of range by the time they get turned around.


  8. I think they need to reduce it, not eliminate it. 30% is a big jump from 0% 

      There is perma death coming to the game, your char will age and die(delete) as well, as they get older, their age will effect them, So you will need to find a fountain of youth or complete requirements of producing an Heir 😛 before they do so. (once  implemented)


  9. Lol, I was just going to start a topic on aging. Those of you that started with young looking chars from the start (age 20)  What age is your character now and how do they look?

    I somehow have a feeling they have aging boosted to get the full aging looks effect to see how it goes before implementing the full system and such. Sooo, how do your chars look now as apposed to when first created? lol

They added Lawless as extra homeports/starts because of the initial troubles.  Lawless were Islands with no claims, level cap of 8 (to maybe make them non appealing place to call home long term)  and quicker decay rate on builds placed,  if I recall the first couple of days. lol.. Then they needed the start space so used them as a temp solution while they worked on smoothing starts out so, they are just reverting them back to what they were meant to be, so it seems.


  11. I don't disagree with the change to some forward movement but, maybe lower it a bit more, enough to where you need to pay attention to your sailing/wind still, at least?

    Your jump was  a bit much.. same with a few other changes went from base hard to easy mode.. and other things went from easy lol to .. wtf.. Not because you changed them but, you changed them too much, maybe 🙂  I am sure you will get a good balance out if it all. It is not quite there yet though.

They do have Bank you can use on your own property so you get a cut of anything harvested on your property.  I agree with NO neutral aucion house like wow.  Having something like that attatched to a dock or a harbor and not global inked, just individual selling/buying/trading goods (maybe it links to the BANK to pull and place goods).  like the lighthouse, a prefab piece, could even come with an npc… or something.

    Make it simple, owner can chose what he sells increments and then choose a payment/trade for it..

    10 Salt - 5g or 10 metal

    or something along the lines of that. And if not in stock it is greyed out.


  13. I guess you could create your own loading dock w/ramp on your home side to get things on and off there would only help for one side though. lol. How about Elephants?

    I have seen people put them on the smaller ships, kinda funny looking. Even on a raft once to try and the elephant glitched out and rolled over onto its back. lol


  14. While your wishes for a better game if it were  like other games, I am not sure any of them would work in this game.

    Stat/skill system is their own sorta thing in general, don't think you will ever see that change to what another game uses.

    Entire map is made up of several servers, to clump everyone into one server/startzone would not work..from what I hear.

    If it was 1 island per comp.. people would just split off into smaller allied companies and  some of the groups can make 100 companies with current members in now.

    So they could quickly claim 100 full islands.. if ya look at it that way.

    In a perfect world, players wouldn't be selfish and they leave room for others to expand the overall play.. it is not a perfect world out there. lol.

    It goes something like this. One group shows signs of becoming a mega group.. Other groups take note of this knowing that Once it is a full fledge Mega Monster, it can and will start wiping everyone else out without a fight soo, they say NOPE and start mass inviting and creating their own Mega Monster then others say some words I wont post on this forum.. and crank up their members and or begin alliances with others.. and that's how the world works in games like this one 😛


  15. Other Players are why we can't have nice things.  More suggestions please, this really does need to be addressed somehow.

    I somehow feel that Lawless Islands should Pvp enambled on even PvE servers with destruction on. You want to farm there it is at your own risk. Solved. This as well will make mr solo who has claimed an entire island want to have buddies if he needs something off a lawless island 😛

A large, shallow Barge with a ramp that can be slid in and out for Carrying large Animals and or hauling large heavy loads.  Make it with hp and weight, that moves very slowly, no cannon or any large gun options. Smart play would be to have escort ships while you are moving one form point A to point B.  How viable this is, don't know but, seems like it would fit to have your merchant ships out in the water.


  17. Cant change the Main game to suit Non Official maps.. I wouldn't imagine anyway,  That would be up to who ever has made the unofficial map to pick island/resources and all that as they put one up? If players are lacking , maybe get in contact with the owner of that server or admins, they may be willing to spawn some things in, if they are not on their map?
