There is a marker system. You can press N while holding your map out. Sadly it's bugged and the marker you place is way off.

As with the recent update we lost few levels, I've heard that you will get the respec once you level up past your level that you were before the update.

So just a couple suggestions that in my opinion could benefit the game.
1. When ship is still attached to the port, please make so the "release ship" option takes like 10 seconds to execute. As I was building around my brig, and constantly placing/removing placed walls etc. I targeted the ship and released it. Wasn't planning to do so until the fix for ship sinking is implemented. Now I'm anxious and don't feel safe investing my time into decorating it etc. (I'm taking my time).
2. Anchor. It doesn't really make any sense of how shallow the water has to be to anchor a ship. I suggest either adding a specific "deep sea anchor" item that would allow anchoring in deeper waters or just simply increase the length of the current one.
Thank you devs, your work is greatly appreciated.

1 big is faster then 2 medium
1 medium is faster then then 2 small.
They can however not present any numbers but by visual observations
Thanks! Though it becomes even more complicated when starting to compare different types of sails -.-". But a speed multiplier or wind effectiveness stat for sails would be nice to have.

I've been lagging in discord so much lately as well, yet I have 300 mb/s up and down with 1ms ping. I wonder if atlas is causing it.

yea, probably. Personally I refuse to do it because it just feels wrong and breaks immersion a better penalty would be nice. Maybe a debuff after death which decreases your stats carry capacity. idk

From the first simply bcs those perks reduce vitamin depletion too much that no matter if will even afk, the hunger will still go faster than vitamins. And for the second, no fortitude causes stamina, hunger, and literaly everything go down faster from doing stuff so their hunger depletes much faster than vitamins (vitamins drop over time and at all times, hunger drops mainly from healing and restoring stamina, if someone want to gather resources without fortitude their hunger will just go much faster than vitamins which are not affected by doing stuff)
Yes I know how the skills and stats affect hunger and vitamins. I have all three vitamin perks and full fortitude, yet always have to overeat to maintain vitamins except if I do stamina intensive stuff non-stop. What I said was just informative post for someone struggling with similar hunger issue.

And whoever has trouble with having low vitamins and full belly, don't be afraid to overeat, it takes just a bit of your HP down, been doing that ever since I tried it. And it's quite interesting seeing how other people have the opposite: full vitamins and being hungry, never had the issue.

Though as is my understanding 1 large is better then 2 med, 1 med better then 2 small.
My question is how much do you really lose or gain?
How much speed do you get from a speed sail vs a handling?
Yea it's difficult to know that as we have no stats to check.
As for speed vs handling I switched to speed from handling just because handing sails actually improve ship turning speed which doesn't make any sense and I've posted a suggestion regarding this already.

I wonder how do 2 small speed sails compares to a single medium speed sail let's say on a sloop

I think another big issues besides claim timers and other stuff is that the circles can actually overlap. My suggestion is to make so no circle can overlap anything.
Now I have like 2 circles overlapping into my claim and they can build there. And I didn't even got to defend it...
If the circles couldn't overlap this would solve the issue with 1 guy keeping half the island that he doesn't use because he couldn't defend it and there would also be some little neutral spots left in between the claim circles for random passers-by to build a shelter to stay until the next day, or some crafting buildings to prepare for the next voyage. Just an idea. Thank you Idea given with PVE server in mind as I have no experience in PVP one, so it might work differently there.

Mine is always maxed out too. I thought that's normal. Weidt hing is that the temperatures aren't even high even though usage is maxed out.

Hello. So the first thing that is super weird and got my attention is the handling sails? I don't think that's how sails work. For turning speed we should be able to get better rudder or something as sails shouldn't influence that. What is now called a handling sail, should be used to sail faster against the wind and catch wind better (kinda does that now, but speed remains bad). And speed sail should be faster with the wind, which kind of does that right now. That way we can spec to one or another, or try to balance it.
As for rudder, if we were able to choose from different rudders some could give us better turn rate but be heavier as a trade-off. Or light ones would have low rate of turning.
Also, the rudder itself shouldn't be coming back automatically but rather just stay at our desired position when turned. Also, it should require much more turning of the actual wheel, to adjust the rudder. If you play 1st person it seems like you're in F1, where slight wheel adjustment turns the ship a lot, which is super bizzare.
These are just suggestions, based on my opinion and some experience in other sailing games. Thank you and calm seas!

I found that if you increase FOV to the max, it doesn't change upon entering combat in 1st person.
