Jat said something about player shops..can't recall the exact quote atm, but it's in his blog post.

I really don't want an auction house.  Traders ought to travel to trade goods and people should be able to buy all the traded stuff at their local shops.  (at least on pve)

I think you misunderstood me abit. Auction house would be only with gold coins. All the rest of trades (Item A for Item B) would be done trough the shops. Can you imagine the traffic it would cause if people opened stores all around?

  2. Something like a trading stand was shown in the trailer so there is hope for something like that. Build a trading stand on designed areas for them and hire a NPC that sells/trades the stuff for you 24/7. You can set up rules for what you trade different items in ratios you want. For example 10 wood for one gem, etc.

An even better solution would be a trade auction like Black Desert has with unified gold coins as main currency with a buyout option. A trading system is a must in a game like this and I really believe, that there is a massive potential for that.

  3. I have assholes near me too that sink ships. Lost two Sloops already and cant release my third from the dock. Every day I find a sunk ship of unfortunate souls that set anker near them. I am not gonna give as this is the last the douchebag griefers can do and hopefully for not long......

Yes, defend the bug insteed of acknowledging it and showing devs evidence of it existing. There is no point in further discussion, if that was the rapid fire bug that killed their ship, that's devs fault not their, that's like defending cheaters saying to swarm them with entire company while they reload or something.

Sucks that he lost his high level ship, but having such a high level ship I would make damn sure to rather do a massive arc around the ship then risking getting to close. Basic game mechanics he failed at.

yes this , except wild animal dont do damage to other players items if aggroed to other player

This. I seen it with my own eyes as I also was able to catch a random douchebag trying to destroy my walls with an agroed Alpha elephant. The walls took no damage as I seen no damage numbers. The damage numbers only apear if the animal is agroed to the flag owner of the area.

Can confirm. Lost a brig to this. Anchored in our port. This has been an issue, a serious issue, since day one. More and more people are finding out about it, which leads to more and more using it against others.

I was very disappointed to see that this has not been prioritized in the upcoming big patch. This is not a big fix. At the very least, they could set it to ignore weight/crew when a ship is anchored. Would take them 15 minutes to fix. God knows why they won't.

I agree that your fix suggestion is a very good short term fix. Simply remove ANY weight limits while the anker is down.

  7. There is a few douchebags sinking ships on my island. I cant even release my Sloop from the drydock because it was already two times sunken while I was sleeping. Same thing happens to random people that anker on the east shore or around that area. Every day when I log in I see a ship wrenk near the shore.

Also someone was able to open my PIN locked doors constantly using 3rd party software. And yes I had a random pin code. So not even behind locked stone doors is anything safe. Everyday I had my preserve bags empty and smithy too. Hell... Someone stole even rotten meat and coal from my fireplace LOL.

You can have 20 good people around you, but all it takes is one dedicated Rust toxic kid and your fun is gone.

  8. When you press "esc" while in a grid you can see the possible modifications so I easily can see that being modded in. Certain grids can have multiple settings changed. Including PVE/PVP, hardcore mode, etc..

Personally I would love a mixed PVE/P system with selected grids having PVP enabled. There is really alot of things the devs could make PVP grids interesting to compete for, but with obvious limitations needed. Such as smaller companies to prevent zerging the grids and crashing the servers.

No? Because I don’t want it to be easy. I liked the balance and timespan needed for ships. I didn’t like it when there was the 2,5X event, I came on and there were so many new ships.. Everyone jumped on ship building.

I also like it, but then someone sunk my Sloop on the PVE server I spent a day to farm and build. Then two days later someone sunk also my raft. On the fourth day I managed to build my second Sloop which was gone again this morning. Now I am on my third Sloop ready in the dry dock and I am happy that I had to spend 2 hours building it instead of 4 like before.

Point being. When the game is in a launch ready state where my shit is safe from assholes having fun being shitheads, then I am more then happy to grind a day for even a raft.
