  1. @MindOfMadness Thanks for proving my point (that you are a kiddie fanboy). You literally have no idea how to read a reply without getting triggered, so this is my last one. The game advertises sailing -> sailing is broken. End of story. You wanna build houses in lawless? Yea, good luck with that. The game is EA? Yep, but dont advertise sailing and have it in-game just to be broken. Even their twitch is "sailtheatlas". If you think such a practice is fine then have fun. People like you are the reason why developers don't give a fuck about quality anymore. Edit: Thanks for posting the steamchart btw, you're literally proving my point that players ARE LEAVING. Check that chart of yours again and see that the numbers are going down :).
  2. You're either too much of a fanboy to think for yourself or there's something wrong going on there. I'm not dictating anything, i'm just telling you that sailing was this games main selling point (they advertised this game as "better than sea of thieves", which kinda proves my point). Most people bought this game for the sailing, for the exploration, for the so called adventure. Given the fact that your boat can go boom in a second...there's no sailing, there's no exploration (guess what, the game pretty much TELLS you to go explore islands). Nobody says an EA game should be without bugs, but hell man, they must've seen the videos already, its been more than a week since videos surfaced on youtube with people exploiting the game hard with this bug.. Keep defending the game if you want (i'm assuming you're trying to justify your purchase), but dont speak without arguments. My point is simple : I didnt pay for half a game (I'm not expecting everything done 100%, but at least the content thats in the game, not less than 50%), i didnt pay to get griefed on fucking PVE where i cant do anything about it and i surely didnt pay to waste my time. Also...how can i go build a base when i have no means of traveling ? I build a boat, i sail to an island, go check for unclaimed/abandoned claims, in the meanwhile they sink my boat -> im back at spawn. How is a player that didnt try to reconnect 1000 times at launch going to find a place without being able to move from one island to another? Like everybody else said. This is a game breaking exploit and people are leaving (some already gave up since devs don't say anything). If you want to play a so called "MMO" with about 500 people instead of the promised (and fake advertising) of 40k, be my guest. They lied through their teeth and they are not even paying attention to the community. The temporary fix would be incredibly simple -> remove sinking while overweight, just make it so the ship doesnt move. Boom, done. Fix it properly later, but the game breaking issue is gone.
  3. So basically those of you which are playing 50% of the game right? If you want to build houses and stuff then why not play ARK? People that bought atlas did it for the sailing/ships, not for a minecraft simulator.
  4. My thoughts exactly. Ship not moving would be amazing. You wanna grief in PVE? Then if you want to annoy someone by blocking their ship with weight you gotta lose time too! Therefore they wouldnt do it anymore. You can surround them by campfires, but that only "brings up the heat". Your ship will sink before they die.
  5. As i said & same as above, the same company sunk a Schooner and a Sloop. I managed to get a territory from them (cause they are dumb and claimed 2 neighboring islands without being able to keep them both due to massive size). As soon as i took the territory they started throwing foundations everywhere so i couldnt build. I'll probably stop playing since there's no enjoyment in the game at the moment. Claims are a big problem, but sinking ships on PVE where you cant even do anything (at least on PVP you can try to kill them or punch them off your boat) is trully game-breaking. I'm lvl 25 and i'm being bullied by lvl 51. The fact that these guys keep saying they wont get punished is a big let down. They are ruining the game for everyone and they need to be dealt with, but there seems to be no GM on the official servers. I thought this game will work, that i will have some fun in PVE without the risk of losing things to zergs of players that are 24/7 online. Perhaps some RP element with cities and stuff, but this community is too damn childish and toxic and its bringing the entire game down with it.
  6. I got some of those too, no worries. And also the pics attached. The "Hunters" (Region O9 in EU PVE) company is doing this to everyone that dares touch their island (whole island, 1 company) and claim people are stupid for not doing the same. Their entire company does this. Got videos of different types of griefing (i expect my base to be gone when i wake up because apparently theyll just ram wild animals into buildings they dont own to damage them). The devs dont seem to care and unless they ban these people then the game is going to sink deeper than our ships :).
  7. Yea i just checked online and saw that you can exploit boats because of weight. Either way, its still an exploit and that entire company should be punished for it. Otherwise there's literally nothing stopping people from ruining a PVE server. Especially PVE since on PVP you can at least kill them off of your ship ;/
  8. Well, the title sums it up nicely yea? We were anchored near an island in which there was 0 unclaimed land. As we passed around i tried to place a flag somewhere deep in the water perhaps someone doesnt play anymore. It didnt work, fine, we moved on. I went to go eat something and my friend stayed behind just to be "surprised" by about 30 people on the ship. What did they do ? (Keep in mind that this was a Schooner built by 2 people without the harvest event). They got on board by bringing one of their small ships and they started hitting each other, therefore DAMAGING our ship. Their weight and their AOE dmg just sunk our Schooner on a PVE server. If these people dont get any punishment for abusing game exploits (cause being able to damage someone elses property on PVE is a goddamn exploit), then this game should simply state "Broken, dont play" and not "Early Access". Its based on ARK and this never happened there, so good job. I'm really wondering if devs/mods will follow up with this problem. If i wanted to risk my ship being sunk by other players i wouldve played PVP, at least there's a chance for me to counter-attack instead of seeing my ship sink.

  10. Well as the title says, no one that has that as a home region can enter the game. 46.251.238.19:5761 Nice networking boys! Hire my grandma pls.
  11. Well title says it. Me and a friend were in H11 and then when we died we couldnt respawn anymore. Now we're getting Timeout... Is it down or ?
  12. Been doing that. As i said i know the mechanics from Ark. The point is after a while it receives food but no timer and no eating animation. It just jumps in place and i can feed it 1000 berries at a time.
  13. 3 - Good question, happened to me too (same thing). Got one question here, was your raft overweight? 4- Storage turns into bags (like it happens when you demolish a campfire for example) and you can access it, but if its that deep i doubt u can get down/up fast enough. 7- Never happened to me, but based on ARK -> sleeping bodies can be killed. 8 - Probably since other players can get into anything as long as its not pin protected.
