  1. youth potion incoming for the cash shop, would be my guess.

    have no other idea why they leave it in the game in its current state, seems like we all will be 100 years soon if there is a cap or even older.

    thou i would like to see aging and raising children to pass/teach them skills for a head start with the next character together with a skill system where you earn skill points for a skill tree by using skills from this tree and level up lets say captaineering. cant be a good captain without a ship to sail around aye?


  2. i do like the increased wind strength but really dont like unrealistic sailing against the wind.

    you just need to cross the wind and are already making progress against the wind at about 30% of full speed. going forward directly against the wind feels really bad, its raft mode for all ships...

    but also im not sure if it is what they mean, it could also imply that you will be pushed back at 30% speed when your sails directly face against the wind. which would finally allow us to move our ships backwards and (un)park them more precisely in harbors or docks.

    but if they allow sailing against the wind i hope they add it to the game.ini so we can adjust it at least on private servers together with an amount value for the ships of the damned like we can already adjust creature amounts.


  3. there are about 700 islands. 200-300 in lawless and freeport zone.

    so you have like 400 island for 40.000 people. look at the islands and try to figure how to place 100 not overlapping claim flags on an average island.

    as long as you need a claim to build there is only room for maximum of 10k players so 75% are forced to leave with a negative review. also add everyone joining the game in the future to this group.

  4. there are many games doing well in early access with like 98% positive reviews, listening to all their players and improving the game in small steps with every patch.

    early access is not a free pass to break the game just to "try" something. what dies in early access stays dead.

    had no problem with the broken servers, it got fixed fast and nice, thats the way to go. but now they started throwing elephants on thin ice for no reason. there was no immediate need to change the skilltree in a rush, you take a small step like 1sp for low tier skills 2sp for mid tier skills and 3sp for high tier skills and see if it breaks something else like the fun of playing the game. if it works fine you take the next step towards the planned goal.

    the game is in a dire situation now and it does not deserve it, the devs do a really great job and are very competent but minor things added up pretty fast. currently i would say if the game was a ship it cannot float with a giant hole in the hull or more like the complete hull missing which would be a single player mode and local servers like there was in ark. they need those massive amount of players and positive reviews to keep that mmo ship from sinking. id say its worth making a smaller map with the  land size of ark divided in several island and enable the solo and local server play, even just announcing it would massively improve the situation. that way they could fund the mmo part that is designed only for a minority of players who are organized in big random companies.

  5. it was done before on ark so just balance it the same way. basic survival skills (and corresponding routes) are 1 point each. advanced skills are more expensive so you have to decide which one you pick at low levels. at max level you will be able to unlock everything thou its for elite players but at least everyone does want a chance to play the whole game not just a fraction.


  6. moving the claiming system from per player to per company would solve all the problems.

    just allow players to build everywhere without a claim.

    every company can place one exclusive claim that prevents others from building for their company base or pirate nest. and every additional claim will be a taxed area free to build and collect for all but taking taxes for every ressource that is collected. that way everyone is happy and can play the game, claiming can be made hyper competitive and still not blocking the world for most players. we dont want only 10k players to settle and the other 30k and everyone joining after them to leave with an angry review, if the game is successfull there will be more updates and content in the future.
