  1. Does anyone know how claims actually work? Someone was able to claim my stone box as I was running my sloop to a free-port in 10 minutes. The other day to see how it would work I did it to another players stone box. The timer was 10 minutes but it was froze at 9:59 and would not work. Does it have something to do with the player being offline or online? Is 10 minutes intended or is that a bug? Why raid bases or make explosives if you can just wait 10 minutes and open the door? Wouldn't it be easier to just build in a lawless zone even with the decay time if that was the case?


  2. Yeah see the problem is the spawn rates were so insane you were running into 8 or 9 of them at a time. Now that the spawn rates are reduced by %60 you just run into 4 of them, which is still too many. I think they should only spawn on golden age ruins grids. Or have a hard cap on how many can be on a single grid. 


  3. This morning I logged into someone trying to claim my ship. I was able to interrupt it and escape but then to spite me he claimed my little 2x2 stone base. I thought i'd have enough time to get my sloop to a free-port and come back but the claim only took 20 minutes. Is this intentional? Was it because I was online? At least on ARK they had to waste materials to raid you this seems to be a joke how easy it is to steal someone's base.


  4. Not only are these ships difficult to deal with early in the sloop to brig range ships they also spawn at a ridiculous rate with high aggro ranges. Completely unforgiving it can be difficult, if not downright impossible, to make it a single grid range over to save countless hours of resource gathering. I'm hoping that this was overlooked or unintentional because right now after making it through the server login boss and dealing with the tree re-spawns being bugged my company of 6 just BARELY got on our feet just to get knocked back down by losing our sloop in an impossible situation. So here are some ideas that could fix this issue.

    - Have them only spawn in golden age ruins grids or at least not in lawless zones

    - Make them spawn less with lower aggro ranges so they can be avoided

    - Tune the damage down so they can't sink a boat within several hits

    - Have them ignore sloops and schooners like they do with rafts

    Hope this is being looked at because I've nearly lost my patience for this launch. 40 hours of in-game playtime and me and my company are back to square one.


  5. The sloop can kind of outrun it but the spawn rate and the aggro range makes it difficult to even make it out of a single grid before you get overwhelmed. I'm thinking these should only spawn in golden age ruins grids? Or perhaps at a lesser rate with a smaller aggro range.


  6. If it's a relatively small island with say... a limited amount of trees they might just decide they want 100% of the island to keep people away from their limited spawns. Why tax people 0-30% when you can have it all? From my experience so far they tend to KoS.


  7. 3 days of connection issues and my crew of 5 finally make it in onto a lawless desert island with little to no trees. Took us HOURS to get off. Couldn't figure out why people made it out so much quicker than us until I logged onto a Freeport. Takes under 20 minutes to get a raft. So if you got lucky and got in early around release at a Freeport you were given a substantial headstart.
