Is it perhaps that sloop and below no longer give salvage materials?

So I'm living within an alliance members claim, what happens if they decide to stop playing. Since we can no longer contest an alliance claim (which is really good btw), do we reset the claim timer by being with in it? Or can we claim it ourself if they quit and let the timer go?

We're you all perhaps in golden age ruin zones. If you didn't notice or hadn't been to one before, spawns were always much higher in these regions

For f**k sake, the game hasn't even been in early access for a full month and your harping on about this. If your not enjoying the game, either a) tough it out and help guide its development, or b) bugger off and check back in a year or 2.

They are listening to players, they cant please everyone, especially the ones that want everything served up on a silver platter. Or if this is a ploy to get views for the video, shame on you. 

So not having been able to find land to claim on na pve, I had started building on a claim that allowed neutral building. I come back today to see that all my progress now belonged to someone else, that had claimed the land in the day that I had been away.

How is this in anyway fair? I could understand this if it was actually my claim, but no! Even if your building on neutral land, your shit belongs to anyone that manages to take the claim from under the land owner.

It depends on whether your willing to wait the 2 years it will take to get completed doesn't it

Dropping anchor has always been a confirmed deterrent for cyclones, the issue is when they hit in deep water. If, like me, you get hit after every single border crossing, go back across and wait a few minutes for clear skies

Two questions if you don't mind. When will age and offspring become a factor, or do you not have a time frame for when they will be released? And my second question, when can we expect to see the oceanic servers up and running?

So, I have finally (FINALLY!) found a tiny little spot to claim as my own. Could someone please give me some definitive times. How long before someone can actually put down a claim flag to contest. Is it 3 days of inactivity within the claim? 

I highly doubt it, would be a lot of work for a purely cosmetic effect. Considering one of the first features that people turn down for fps improvements is sky quality, it would be a huge waste of time

There is a slight chance you can use a grapple to pull it up, I know you can do it with company-mates or whatever you call people in your company

Well if you can show me a map that lets me zoom in enough to try and work out where something is I would be grateful. I see it as something similar to a tame calculator in ark. A tool to make things a little easier

Had an interesting though earlier, not sure if its been brought up in the forums before. Anyone with technical skills/knowledge: how difficult would it be to create an online/downloadable database of treasure maps, that can then use an uploaded image to rotate and locate a treasure site? For example, an app perhaps or even a website. You could get a map of each tile, and then use some sort of recognition program/algorithm/i-really-dont-know to locate your treasure site. Would it be doable?

Sap comes in many forms, the one i am most familiar with is Syrup, which can be harvested from trees with orange-ish leaves, not red. The below link may be helpful for you and your friend.

I am in a solo tribe at the moment, having not found anyone that wants to join up, or i don't trust those that do. If i join an alliance with others, what can we do together? In Ark the only real benefit was building within their radius, and sharing troughs etc. Does the alliance system allow anything else in pve in atlas? Can we adventure on their ships with them, and manage sails/fire cannons with them?

It's the sky effects slider at the top in the middle of settings. It need to be atleast 30-40% before you will see anything other than black

A game reset will be needed before you see any change aswell

Was your shipyard built in semi shallow water? They can occasionally allow placement in areas too shallow to launch a boat, maybe look before you start the build. Or perhaps you had put too much weight on it

Possibly for repairs, or just roleplaying

It's not meant to be easy, some aspects are just unbalanced at the moment. To be expected, considering it's EARLY ACCESS. If it bothers you too much, give them a few weeks/months to fix teething problems and try again

I don't see a reason too, not all islands are habitable. It would be nice to see a way to filter saltwater into freshwater, maybe boiling and condensing to get salt and fresh water

It's not what the initial issue was about, but helpful for some of the repliers
