  1. Has anyone tried to create an artificial anchor platform? As in building a layer of ceilings beneath the water supported by pillars? Obviously deep enough that a ship won't hit then, but shallow enough to mimic anchor height.

    I have a rather extreme drop off on my section of land, in fact it's impossible to place a shipyard it's so shear. It makes anchoring more than a few ships very difficult 


  2. I would like to see some more flags in the game. Not claim flags, but a few types of flags we can craft to decorate our buildings or ships. A regular size flag, that we could place on a flagpole, or perhaps attach to your masts. In addition, pennants! The small triangular flags, we could put them small poles and attach to towers, or perhaps even as a signal flag system on our ships. We could have them be paintable, or perhaps some default flags to show what we are doing. Like a combination of colored pennants that could indicate trading etc.

  3. I disagree, having age based on level is a terrible idea. And what you fail to realise/mention is that FoY is not going to be the only solution to old age, it's simply the only option they have rolled out as of yet.

    Tying aging into the servers passage of time is a good solution to the issue of quitting players bodies and buildings screwing up everyone else's gameplay


  4. It is a feature, it just isn't implemented yet. Eventually once they have fleshed out and released the parenting feature and ironed out the bugs, I imagine they will enable old age death. I believe if you die of old age at that point, it will result in perma death of that character unless you have offspring to continue with


  5. I whole heartedly approve of the age mechanic. As it is now, there is no way to deal with people that quit the game and yet sleep in a claimed zone. When the age mechanic is full implemented, this could result in a monthly rollover of quit-ing players. Eventually when player breeding is brought into play, the naked run at a FoY will not be needed unless your wanting to maintain the buff. My memory is hazy, but i believe there was something similar buff wise planned for bloodlines. In any case, i am definitely in favor of the age mechanic. If i did have one minor issue, it would be to slow down aging by a small amount, maybe make it so we age at .5x-.75x the current rate

    Blocking access is a really bad idea for those players, as the army still spawn when your close enough to the map location. Which means the army spawns within their building. Just make it so the said army do massively increased damage against structures and this concern wont be a problem

  6. I have an idea that could work, but not with the current floating method they are using to prevent weight griefing. I would propose to make any section of ocean that is shallow enough to anchor in a no collision zone. It would obviously need to be considered carefully, and restrictions put in place but it would solve some issues. Maybe have it so that any ship that initiates the "collision" takes free-port levels of decay. As in whoever collides with a stationary ship takes decay damage if they anchor.

    This would allow for temporary (a few hours) landing at a shore even if its completely surrounded by boats. Like i mentioned initially, this couldn't work with the floating measures they have in place (which i hope are temporary measures until they can do something else), but i feel it could work as the playerbase continues to grow. Thoughts?
