Thats awesome, They need to advertise once the servers up and stable.
-
I'm worried the server is going to be shit like it has before.

What side of the island is a good spot to get to the foy?
-
I wouldn't hope for it yet because the game needs alot more fixes before even thinking of console.

Adding more on top of broken stuff it is going to make the problem worse and it is going to snowball hard to the point they can't be bothered to go back and fix the fundamentals. (un)Fortunately, depending on who asks and about what project, I know a little bit codding, and most of this stuff would be done/fixed within a week tops.
Why are going to add a new submarine while there is people stuck on creatures? Why are they worried about stone walls if one of the game's core functionalities (claiming) does not work properly. This is my point. Its not because it EA/Alpha or whatever even less because people paid for an EA and expected a full game. I want the game to succeed like most of us, but again like most of us we get tired and sick of seeing the dev team waste time on useless shit while the fundamentals are broken.
Best Regards.
Fair enough, I understand the frustration with it. So the reason why they add this new content is because its simple and doesn't require alot of coding compared to fixing bugs. They are different teams working on different corners of the atlas world.
Fixing bugs is a problem child of any game development. I'm dealing with that on a company I work with. I'm a 3D Modeler and our programmers have bugs that been in game for years due to the previous team not fixing their base engine code.
It's a custom engine. I know Atlas is using Unreal but they could still edit main edits on the source.

We paid to play early we can't be super pissed if things are not going well due to us pretty much agreeing to play a buggy game. There is a disclaimer when you look at it on the steam page.
I know its a pain. I've dealt with some dumb things in this game. Getting stuck in floors, dying to alphas that glitch me into their bodies.

A idea for sap on some islands a root that could be harvested with a shovel or a pickaxe would be great for tundra or any island in general due to the nature of roots or maybe using rotten meat to ferment in the persevering bag to create some kind of oil/sap substance.
Also it seems the gathering rates have went back to 1x instead of the standard 2x.

This can instill some confidence. Are you guys planning on coming out with some upgraded stone walls? Like Metal Reinforced walls?

What would you like to see in a pirate game?
-
I know what you mean with the offline protection. We lost about 9 people on our small crew of 15. The rest of us merged into a bigger crew.
It sucks but we are early in development with this game so hopefully they come up with a solution to it.

I do agree to a certain extent with ya unofficial's are good but some people enjoy the pvp they get when they are online and can fight a big company and actually win/lose against em depending on skills and building.
We had to merge into a bigger crew/company due to the offlining but now we can enjoy the game more and have the fun of people working together getting maps/foy/stones/capturing land. It's a whole different game now.

I thought I was going crazy also. I noticed I barely get anything from trees like 13 fiber on a plant.

I work with BPG as a 3D modeler. The game is free to play and is growing steadily.

There are other time zones that play in NA server. Also people that work different schedules you would be limiting. If official is not to your liking then go play unofficial and stop demanding that it change.
Darkfall was a different game and that died before it even had a chance for many different reasons. RIP Darkfall you will be missed
Darkfall is still alive thanks to Big Picture Games. Riseofagon.com

Animals clipping through buildings are the problem. I built double walls for my pen.

Offlining is bullshit. Games like darkfall did it right with a siege timer.

Thats why gilders fit with the lore. Thats why we are going to get some magical items.

Even with a non potato some bases take sometime even with 32gb of ram and a ssd.
-
Gliders are interesting but it fits with the lore. I myself dont want sky pirates. I'm a huge history nerd on golden of age sail piracy.

I enjoy lawless more than claim spots due to the excitement of it. The claim system is favorable in my opinion.
Maybe a claim flag that is destructible would be fun.

Occlusion culling would be amazing. I see they use streaming textures with LOD but I feel the occlusion could be better. They do really well with the graphics overall compared to most games with free placement and ocean coding. You don't realize how much goes into culling the ocean out of a boat that could be a strain on alot of stuff.

Aging would be great later in the EA timespan when more to do with it is added.

What creeps you out on Atlas?
