I just had this happen after friends finally got me to try this game.
They play on the official PvE server. Is there anything I can do to get around this error?
I made a crude tool and equiped it. As soon as I hit 1 to use it, the game crashes with the same fatal error others have pointed out.
After this happened, I found this thread. So I went to a random server, repeated the steps above and have the same experience. So it does appear that this is caused by the crude tool, as others have pointed out.
Is there anything I can do though to resolve this on an official PvE server?
