get out of lawless its not for noobs you building in lawless means you consent to this. go be a settler with someone that can help you get on your feet you will be glad you did. and the thing killing the game is private servers. 

no the change makes sense there are still places where you can snag the bottom decorative rocks that cannon be removed should just be decorative.

yes but on speed sails you have to move off the ladders at each landing. its  a pain I agree give us one ladder to the top. 

I have been messing with the brig today and I like 1 handling and 2 speed for SOTD farming. A brig with all handling (common) is just to slow at 1/3 weight. Boat speed is a pet peeve of mine and these brigs struggling to pull 14 knots is just mind numbing. I also carry extra sails for the trip home and ditch the handling sail and gtfo. Farming with three speed is just a waste of time.

What is the max speed that can be achieved with each boat stripped down? My best speed is like 24k in a schooner.

I think they are making a good play. I think they are working on a super-secret massive patch, they want the game to die down and everyone to go play something else for 6 months to a year. then they are going to cash in big with a huge expack size patch that introduces all sorts of community requested changes.  

did you have berries in the silo? they got to eat too 

the problem is the same problem this game has with everything. the only way to do 90% of the content is to cheese it. maps are done by cheesing either with a tame or by blocking the spawn with billboards etc so they cat chase you.

And breeding is easy doable with 9-5. Not elephants or razors, but bears and such, easy.

let us take breeding a bear for example. you get 2 bears to mate then wait 4 hours. then when the baby is born you have 4 hours to get to 10% where that bear can feed from the trough. that is an 8 hour playtime. I know you don't need to babysit that bear for the whole time but it's not very realistic.

The way to remove this exploit in the game is to make all freeports have a 1 hour combat timer.  Nothing is safe in the freeport.  It will instantly stop people from living out of a freeport.

the problem is most people that play these games are toxic no lifers so a rule like 1 hour in freeport till safe only means that some players will sit and kill everything that enters grid. that is bad game design.

This has not been my experience at all with the combat timers you have 14 hours of asset safety spend some time making your stuff less attractive to be looted and you will be fine.  

the bonus over Valentines day was great! our company was actually able to start breeding as you could raise a baby in one play period. When do you guys think we will get another one? breeding animals to make good bloodlines is a really cool thing in this game but it is just not doable if you have a life a and a 9-5 . do these bonuses ever just happen on random weekends? 

I have never experienced this but as with everything in Atlas I bet your results are a mixed bag. I would plan on moving anything you do not want to lose as far from that island as possible. 

what do you even do in this game in a PVE world? 

740 hours is a good run you got a lot out of this game and it might be a good time to find another place to click buttons.

When  other companies  pvp they take the game way to far for newer players to play. Being on pc and xbox I can see both ways.. pc will always have the advantage over xbox.

 

You have tribes such as d&t, Sdc, jojo, multiple  Chinese  and bigger companies bully players like this to stop playing. For instance jojo is a chinese mega company  that owns A8 players cant settle in that tiles  or surrounding  tiles unless they pay tribute. Which is all fun for a game mechanic.

Now a company  who was settled their refused because they found out they were paying actual  money to steal boats from other crews (insiding) for weeks on end jojo tormented this company  insulting them in their native  language raiding them hanging them, capturing them to make a new character over and over again. Mind you these are xbox players who cant get any where near their super mega base of lag. To fight back..

 

Now we here its pvp. Pvp is person v person. U want to pvp cool but it's really bullying if all you do is harass  players who have no power to run a already built structures that over load the xbox.

The big consensus  is optimize  the game and make an xbox only official server so players can truly experience  the game. In all fairness  people (or xbox players in general)  are already saying the game is dying because of it. Even alot of D&t members are discouraging players on reddit  by posting fake pictures of developers and players are eating it....you want a bigger player base make an xbox official  pvp/pve server and optimize  the game.

if you don't like it start your own mega group and go to war with them and wipe them out. this is a world sandbox you have that choice.
