Hold the phone, Indie studio? See they aint Indie if they're owned by Snail Games. Wildcard aint Indie. Grapeshot aint Indie, theyre owned by Snail Games, they're offices are literally down the hall from each other(their own words), that is literally the opposite of Indie.

I'm bashing a studio that has a long track record of bad decisions. Like you know Diverting staff and assets away from your flagship game you promised to fix and pouring it into an offshoot studio and "new game" that's even worse than the first one it was made from.

Hahahaha the best part was when you said Indie Studio... lol

L.A Noire was a stand alone built on it's own engine that's only connection to GTA anything was the Publisher.

The rest of those games were on the Render Engine or the RAGE engine(Rockstars own engine), using an engine doesnt constitute it being a mod in any way, an engine is a compiler for your models, assets, scrips, etc that operate within the engines physics.

That's still a grasping at straw level reach there though.

You're talking about a high level publisher funding decent sized game studios, or multiple studios to work on a single game, these games that were also put out pretty far apart with newer engines and better builds, graphics, etc... Which lets be honest, we're all pretty damn good.

Keep in mind, you're not talking about a Dev/Publisher that got their pants sued off for breach of contract for developing a competing game in secret while working for another company, poaching employees, etc. for 40m and had sell out to a chinese company to say afloat while pushing out paid DLC during Early Access, you're also not talking about a Dev team that started work on a promised dlc, that somehow morphed into its own standalone using entirely reused assets, core programming, etc. that incorporated all the bugs, exploits and poorly built foundation while slapping on some plaster and paint to make it look different.

You're talking about Mother----ing Rockstar games and all the studios they employ my dude. They are not even remotely comparable.

And yet here you are bashing an indie studio for having the audacity to build a new game off an existing one. Fuck me, right?

They released a MOD for ARK as a full fledged game

Rockstar’s GTA Vice City, San Andreas, Bully, and Manhunt, is just a mod for GTA 3. L.A. Noire is just a mod for GTA 4. Red Dead Redemption 2 is just a mod for GTA 5...

Rockstar have made some pretty outstanding games over the years and you’ll be shocked to know they were built off of previous games.

I dont know what you expected my dude, like you literally lurked on these forums for ages before the XBOX release, and you knew the dire straights the game was in, and you bought it anyway.

Shame on you for buying poo and being disappointed it doesnt do any tricks.

This right here. Me on the other hand have come from Ark and I still host on there and now I’m hosting on this game. The fact Atlas at its core is a copy paste of Ark I knew exactly what I was getting my self into from both the early access part of the game and the developers themselves.

Really not sure what you mean by this. I am not complaining about the game or mechanics of it. I was complaining because I don’t get laid off till December so I can only get on for 1 to 2 days a week as to where once I get laid off I will be able to be on 5 days a week.

not sure what your EA comment has to do with that.

I know exactly what EA is and you must not have understood the post. I wasn’t complaining about any aspect of the game. i was venting because right now I can only play a couple of days a week and if they would have waited a little longer I would have more days to play throughout the week. None of what I said has anything to do with it being early access

So basically you’re a narcissist and are disappointed that Grapeshot didn’t release the game based around a time that was convenient for you personally?

Umm it doesn’t make sense for them to remove such a great and consumer friendly feature. It’s not like it’s a completely different team behind this game that wasn’t working on Ark but yeah.

Well it does make sense because Atlas server configuration is more complicated than Ark.

The only map you would be able to run would be Blackwood and that’s because it’s not in a grid format but instead on a single tile.

You would need an additional console to run each tile on a grid for the default ocean map, but console’s can’t cluster on their own.

Hey everyone! Just wondering if anyone knows about being able to use another Xbox console as a player dedicated server like we could on Ark? I thought this was going to be a no-brainer since it was in Ark and I’ve purchased 2 copies of Atlas and I was disappointed that the option wasn’t there 😞

Never assume. The logical step would have been to research before you made the purchase.

Okay I tried it before. I'm hosting through nitrado and I got into a blackwood server. Two problems then remained I had no animals spawn within the server and I couldn't have a password on the server as it said password was incorrect.

After this I tried too restart the server to see if animals would spawn and now my server isn't showing again.

The issues you have mentioned are on Nitrado’s list, check out their Twitter for updates.

    How do I do this?

I can't find any blackwood maps at all on xbox nevermind my own.

    Any help would be appreciated.

It’s not an option yet, it’s missing from the Xbox client. When it does eventually work, you’ll need to check the ‘non-Atlas maps’ box. As far as I’m aware, Blackwood is for non-officials only.

  9. I tried running the Blackwood map, but there isn’t an option in the unofficial dedicated servers sessions list to view and check ‘non-Atlas maps’ so that’s out of the question. I then went ahead and transferred a couple Ark and a DayZ server over to become expansions to form a 2x2 grid only to find that no matter what I tried, passwords don’t work either, including admin.
