So i dont know if it is a game mechanic but in some islands there is no fiber, and you cant do absolutely nothing without fiber... im at "barracudas reef" for example and no fiber in the whole island

Its intentional, so that you cant get everything you need on one island, especially the metal heavy tundra

You can do trades with people to the north (if in south) of you, they need metal, you need fiber.

i just learned that you need to start the game on a freeport, if you start in a random island u wont be able to do shit.
