Monkey Taming - Bugged or hidden mechanic?

I've tried finding the perfect place to post this and couldnt find any relevant place (i dont know if its a bug or not so i posted here). I've tried to tame 2 monkeys yesterday. After stuffing their behind with berries for quite a while (waiting 13 seconds, gave them to eat, rinse and repeat) they simply stopped showing the cooldown for taming food. 

What i mean by that is ->

- The monkey stats window does not show anymore (the one that shows health, food and tameable by).

- The cooldown after feeding it does not show. I can feed it 100 berries at once.

- No taming, after feeding it it just jumps in place, as i said above no eating animation, no cooldown.

 

Am i missing something here? I know the mechanic from ARK and i dont remember the monkey jumping in place after feeding it for a while...

Monkeys get spooked easily, you have to sneak tame them

Been doing that. As i said i know the mechanics from Ark. The point is after a while it receives food but no timer and no eating animation. It just jumps in place and i can feed it 1000 berries at a time.
