Suggestion for War Objectives, Island Takeover

So I'm hoping that the Captain's Log tonight will answer some of these questions, but I think there needs to be clear cut objectives to winning a war rather than just "eliminate the enemy from the island". A good strong objective such as a destroyable lodestone or position to hold over x time will insure that island will not remain in the hands of whoever arrives first and builds the most beds on the island. 

If the only objective is to destroy all enemy encampments or to insure that no survivors remain, then war will be impossible to win and the islands will remain stagnant.
