Is it possible to reduce the range of a claiming flag?

The issue I got atm, is that people are setting up claim flag in some area's so they can built their base or set up temporary base for taming some animals. The server is set for PvE only and people can't challenge any flags. Also the server is set so that it don't need the flag to build any structure. People can put structure anywhere they want without flags(assuming they follow the rule on where they are allowed to put structure). But the issue is that beds don't work without a flag, so you need the flags in order for the bed to work. On a big island the issue is not to bad but on small island it's aggravated. The flag cover a big area and on a small islands it can cover almost half the island. Avoiding other company's to built or setup taming base to tamed some animals.

Our community name is 'Pro Hookers' we are been playing together for more then 10 years, we've been playing all sort of games like Fishing Planets, Ark, 7D2D, Emperion, The Hunter Classic & COTW, etc... We would like to keep the aspect of the game that we are playing. So that said, is it possible to reduce the claiming area of the flag, an argument perhaps to had in the .ini files. So it don't cover as much area as it is, so others can built and use their bed.

here is an idea...put the bed on your ship to respawn...or when the friends that been playing together are done in that area...have it be a rule to remove the flag

We try that and still when the other group try to put their flag up it's says that they have to wait 1d15H and that the land is been contested. From what I see there is a time after removing the flag before anyone else can put another one.
