Offline destruction, not showing who did it... ?

Hi.

My company just lost 2 ships, and a shipyard during the night when none of us were online.
We don't mind PVP, and have fun destroying a bit and getting destroyed a bit

But we don't like that we can't even see who did it, the log only says that it happened, but not by who.

Is this working as intended or a bug?

They probably got on your ship with a bunch of weight and it sunk. The log won't show who did that.

Yeah that might account for the one ship that was launched, but the other was still in the shipyard, and has several modules showing up in the log being destroyed. But nothing showing a name of who did it.

I think this has to do with the way structure damage is reported. The shipyard might be in the same category as a wall so when they destroyed the shipyard the ship got destroyed because that is what happens so then the ship gets reported as destroyed by the shipyard.
