darcek 44 Posted December 23, 2018 Soo.. the age long question everyone in ARK is asking has arrived to ATLAS. any idea? I only get few pieces like from normal rocks,and we dont have Ankys here so? My guess is probably travel by raft to some islands with metal? But that will be insanely time consuming for something like you need on day to day bases... Khilandros 57 Posted December 23, 2018 My guess is that since the game is a huge map (on official) some islands could have various supplies of metal or none at all. Could also be that there are a lot of people already on the island and farmed it all up. I can only assume that the game is designed to have certain resources scattered around the world based on the biomes. The game just seems to be all bout traveling and exploring of the various islands and sea, so you may not see everything you need on one island. In this case, you have to travel distances to get what you need or trade for it from other players (player merchant role/gameplay?). If this is true, then they did think it through, since that would be the point of the game and why ships exist.
