what does it mean when some one tries to do a take over ( on PVE)

my tribe had some one try to take over our base  in the past 24hrs ( they failed it miserably) but interested in this so i can let my leader know thanks

was asking for my leader  not needing a smutz being a smutz answering a legit question from a very new player

It's exactly how it sounds.  If you know they failed miserably then you probably already understand what it means if you're able to measure their success.
